That he compares himself to Ralph Lauren and D'Vinci and we are supposed to be impressed?
That he chose to be in an interracial relationship and we are supposed to feel sorry for him?
That in order for Kanye to feel as if a person opinion matters their bank account has to be bigger then his or cut him a check?
What's being missed here?
Like Charlamagne pointed out. The real revolutionaries moved people and changed the country without the backing of big corps and tons of money. WHY? because, their focus was the people. Not sitting at a table with Nike, Prada, Polo etc etc. begging for money.
It's more about CONTROL than money. I get the sense that you're focusing on the wrong aspects of what Kanye is saying/doing and not seeing the overall point he's making. I felt like he answered this in the interview. When I watch it again I may try to simplify what he was saying for those w/ your P.O.V. to consider for understanding. I thought it was pretty straightforward though.
It was straight forward. Which, made it very shallow and see through. Kanye spoke about his bottom line as a business man, an artist, a creator and man. All of which only improves his condition and the condition of his family. He doesn't have to mask his agenda in the form of helping or speaking for others.
