Regardless of anything that I have to say and believe outside of the music. Jay seems to be getting better at crafting more conceptual records, and his delivery and flow have detoriated in my opinion, but his pen game hasn't, and I like the subject matter, concept and lyricism, I actually think he's making better albums now than he was before. This and Black Album stands as his best work, the rest was hype and not deserving of the acclaims. I am impressed by this album.

To add, some of the things i don't fuck with is the name and brand dropping, he continuously trying to create sinonymity with those names and brands he keeps on dropping, sorry Jay but you are not Jean-Michel Basquiat, or Hendrix and etc...those artists didn't keep on referencing or name dropping others, they dropped the content/truth, you dropping their names. That is one of my criticisms, good album tho, I am impressed.

ppl are saying he really took it back vintage on this one ... i havent heard it yet whsss good?? looking for the IC perspective

funny how so many ppl are excited about this album, like its a huge event LOL

well jay has put out dope music before so maybe alot of people anticipated another dope album(it's pretty dope by the way) from someone they like listening to.why is that a problem? would it be better if it was someone else besides jay?

nah ... im just saying that this kind of excitement for an album is non existent in todays world. ionno .. maybe cats was hurtin for some good music THAT bad LOL

i guess everyone had their hopes up and are satified so now its like a celebration on social media

i mean there are even spin off arguements going on because there's an app that lets you download the album. the samsung one crashed supposedly so now iphone users are arguing that things like this is what makes iphone better LOL

this shit is hilarious

good music is rare nowadays though.i've only bought 10 albums in the last year and a half,so yeah i was a bit excited bruh but i see your point.

After hearin some songs on the stream, and just now listening to it full in order, my initial thoughts:

-Album is not very good.

-No soul

-VERY influenced by the Chief Keef demographic smh

-Timbo...thanks again you fuker

-Jay's ear for beats AND lyrics are fallin off

Disapointed.

After listening 2 more times fully thru, i'll retract some of this lol

In a nutshell, im more of a 'soulful jay' fan, so its gon take gettin used to the fact he's goin full on 2chainz/chief keef/rick ross beats n flows.

Album's aight. In between BP3 and WTT...

Seems like you stanned yourself into oblivion and even if this was the best album in the last 10 years....you still wouldn't be satisfied...

Anyway you're in the minority, early reviews world wide are calling this shit dope AF...

Between this and Prodigy Albert Einstein these old niggas is still making HEAT!!! Yall can keep that 2 Chainz and Future shit.....

Public Service Announcement: Jay-z's career is officially over....this album is terrible, the production is wack, the flow is boring as fuck which bring down the overall quality of every single song

now the question is, jayz has had two different careers....one of the top rappers from RD to BP, then one of the most overrated after that.....so has anyone ever fallen off more than jayz? considering he's supposed to be one of the top rappers ever i don't think anyone's fallen this far before

Based on the commercials I was expecting these beats to be lukewarm, but even the beats on the commercial sound dope on these tracks.
