Public Service Announcement: Jay-z's career is officially over....this album is terrible, the production is wack, the flow is boring as fuck which bring down the overall quality of every single song

now the question is, jayz has had two different careers....one of the top rappers from RD to BP, then one of the most overrated after that.....so has anyone ever fallen off more than jayz? considering he's supposed to be one of the top rappers ever i don't think anyone's fallen this far before

but yet you think Eminem is still on, shut the hell up....this album so far is flames

at this point in their career's yes emeinem is better than jayz by far, at least he still flows and makes quality songs....this album just sounds really lazy or just rushed, not really sure but jayz has fallen the fuck off

it's sad when he puts out junk like blueprint 3....but that album crushes this

Woah...people still like/respect eminem?

And for the record fuck jay z

But eminem?....like...seriously?

i didn't bring up eminem, someone else did, but yeah, eminems last album is better than anything jay-z's put out since blueprint

anyone that disagrees shouldn't be listening to rap/hiphop or are just dumb.....music quality just isn't there for jayz

like i can't take this album out for a july 4th party or cookout, theres nothing on it worth bumpin like that

I don't even fuck with jay...but you telling me you gonna put an eminem record on at a cookout/party??? Lmaooo where in the fuck they do that at?

Yeah because cookouts are definitely where most of Em's targeted demographic is.

Great point!

Anyway after a first listen this cd doesn't really grab me. There's about 16 songs and only 6 stand out. That dirty south flow takes up too much of this album as well.

I'll give it a couple more listens on youtube to see if anything grows on me. Heaven is one of the better songs so far.

Kingdome Come: "Yall dont understand it. His lines go over ya heads yall just gotta catch it. Not like simple rappers like 50 Cent, The Game, Jeezy, Jim Jones etc. Ya gotta ride to it. 8/10"

Blueprint 3: "Yall dont understand it. His lines go over ya heads yall just gotta catch it. Not simple & overrated lines with autotune like T-Pain, Lil' Wayne etc. Ya gotta ride to it. 8/10"

Watch The Throne: "Yall dont understand it. His lines go over ya heads yall just gotta catch it. But at the same time he just dumbs it down for dumb niggas to catch it. Not like Ross, Drake, Nicki etc. Ya gotta ride to it. 8/10"

Magna Carta: "Yall dont understand it. His lines go over ya heads yall just gotta catch it. He din't fall off he just dumbed down the lyrics, flow & beats so yall could catch it. Not rap good like wack niggas like Kendrick, Cole etc. Ya gotta ride to it to fully understand. 8/10"

Doesn't matter. Always the same grades, same justifications & same dickriding.

Every other city we goooooo, every other videooooo...Noooo matter where i go, i seee the same Hov hooooooes!

So how much do we think this is gonna sell when the regular album drops? 400k first week?

Might do more. His average is 400-500 but this one got a lot of hype and it's been 4 years. I say 600.

you usually right with album sales, you really think he gon sell600k tho?

At first I was going with 450k but that's my bold prediction. Pretty big for no singles but there was a lot of promotion. Not sure how many people own Samsungs so that could affect it.

I haven't really been predicting lately but I was off the last couple times I did. I'm trying to remember which artists. I think I underestimated Kendrick and overestimated Cruel Summer.

On a "holiday" playing "Strange Fruit" / If I'mma make it to a "billi" I can't take the same route

......niggas gone catch all these little gems eventually ...

Lines like these are over thought, meaningless and wack.

Fuck all that wordplay shit I'm tryin to hear that crafty flow bobbin and weavin Hov.

The line ain't crafty?....lol Now y'all complaining that this nigga using "too much" wordplay ...

Sure your right bruh...

this nigga can't win with some of y'all cats... Lol

I just think lines like those and the Richard Pryor shit should be left for amateur battle rappers. Shit is witty or whatever but I prefer when he's flowing. You understand what I'm saying? I don't like when he gets too choppy.

I guess bruh...sounds like too much effort in finding things to dislike for my taste instead of just enjoying the music..

Martin had a dream, Hov gotta team

My chain already heavy, don't let me get a ring

Parades down Flatbush, Confetti on my fur

Turn right on Red Hook, niggas heavy on the curve

See most of my niggas died early twenties or late teens

I'm just trying to come from under the thumb of this regime

1% of a billion more than niggas even seen

Still they wanna act like it's an everyday thing

clean

This whole verse is dope ... Plays on being a form of Dr.Martins dream realized ... Then uses some nice wordplay to describe how if he won a chip with the nets he would bring everything full circle and have a parade ending in Marcy where it all started ...

Also he kinda ethers niggas who were trying to downplay his role as owner of the nets with that 1% line

Hov spittin on here ... Real smooth and easy like ... But still spittin nevertheless

Fo real ma nigga? You think what he described in that verse equates to Dr.Martin's dream being realized? Wow...yall real misguided.

Dirty south flow? Biting 2 chainz? What the fuck are ya'll listening to?

Nigga definitely Bit Juvie in Part II and bit Ross on 'Crown" I don't listen to 2 Chainz so I don't know if he bit that nigga flow as well.

I wonder if NY will pan Jay, like they do Rocky,Nikki, & French

You greatly underestimate Jay's power over NY.

This is an excellent album. Give it 8/10. He was I would say about 2 or so songs away from a classic album. His flow was off sometimes, but he was saying some slick shit. Timbo absolutely KILLED the production on this album, no question. Excellent work by Jay, in my opinion..best album of the year so far, followed by The Gifted, and then J Cole. That phaggot Kanye should not be in the conversation...smh

"You on a holiday playin' strange fruit/ If imma make it to a 'billie', I cant take the same route"

I'm finding a bunch of these as I listen through.

Really solid album man

I didnt know what to expect with this

His flow was definitely off at first but it got stronger as the album went on

It aint a perfect album, sometimes he's in cruise control where he sounds bored

Production was solid all the way through

Favorite tracks: Piccaso Baby, Tom Ford, FuckWithMeUKnoIGotIt, Oceans, Somewhere in America, BBC

Hov made a summer banger right here, just in time for his tour with JT dude was smart as hell

I listened to this album not expecting a Black Album, Blueprint, Vol. 1

Thats the problem with alotta yall niggas

MCHG > Born Sinner/TheGifted > Yeezus

Sorry Ye
