Welp, I ran a quick three before my St. Louis run... While doing that I rolled my ankle. I was in pain, but I slowed my place down and kept running. Got home, iced my ankle, wrapped it up in compression tape and kept it moving.

The next morning, I popped two Aleve and ran a half marathon. Felt some tenderness, yet I kept running.

Ran some more, then came the St. Jude half. I ran that, and at mile seven, the shit hit the fan. I felt a dull pain in my ankle, my shin tightened up, calf muscle started throbbing and my hip had a dull pain. I kept running with those symptoms for the next six miles. Crossed the line at 2:07:35, in the worst pain I've ever felt.

Went to a PT this past Monday (goes to show how stubborn I am), and was given the bad news. In true runner fashion, I asked if I could do just one mile a day... Needless to say, that comment wasn't received well at all.

 
Yeah you'sa harded headed niggette, like the rest of us. Lol. When you workout, you want to keep it up at all costs, even when you're injured. I know the feeling. Shit is crazy. But damn, I couldn't imahgine being out of commission for 6 months *salute* What do you plan on doing in the mean time?

You aint lying since June my carpal tunnel has been killing me. What do I do 5 cortisone shots later? Fuck that put another plate on that shit. LOL
 
I gotta another question, family. After you workout, do you suppose to eat right after to feed your muscles? I think I heard a trainer say that one time

Some say yes and some say nope.

With all the infos and knowledge out here you will have to find your OWN SPORTSLIFESTYLE.

Try tgis year everything until you find what SUITS YOU TE BEST.

That comes for how you workout, where you workout, when you workout, the machines,the supplements, the moment you eat ,sleep.

Me as an example i have my way with the kettlebell. It suits me perfectly cause im not a gym guy and i need to gain time and results.

I have read it last year in a Jay Cutler interview. What works for one may not work for another.

 
Yo I hate lil niggas man haha I'm in the gym on my last exercise (deadlift). It's a recovery week for me so I'm lifting pretty light (225).

So there is a group of lil niggas next to me deadlifting too (they prolly in their early 20's). They doing the same weight as me. One of 'em look over and say "c'mon man you gotta step it up. We're younger than you but doing the same weight" I looked at this nigga and said "man you better sitcho lil ass down somewhere 'fore you get embarrassed"

His boys hyping him up "ooooohhhhhh" lol he like "little? I'm bigger than you, look at my arms" I'm like "yeah? Go get the measuring tape." He bring it back, he measure in at 15 inches. I measure in at 17.25 inches and just look at him. Lol

Oh its not over yet haha this nigga challenge me in the deadlift talking he can lift more than me. Smh. He tell his boys to slap on some more weight (315). He try to hit it, get it up halfway and drop it. He asks for a re-do haha. He go again and struggles to get it up but finally half assed gets it up.

I tell his boys to add some more weight to the bar (455) I ask him "how many reps you want me to do?" He say "there is no way you can lift that" I say again "how many?" He like "do 3." I do 6, but I had some more in me. I put the weight down and just look at him. He like "you got me" then tries to dap me up. I turned my back on him and walked out... his boys went nuts lmao! They like "oooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh!!!!" Laughing at this nigga and shit haha.

Why lil niggas think the weight you lift is ALL you can do? Smh
