I Hate My Generation... A Lot

And only when Get low by ying yang twinz came out did he start questioning it. And that was in 2004.

Anybody born in the 70's or 80's are not talking down on 80's/90's and early 2000's rap.

That's 3 generations. It's not about being old.

These migos niggas are older than me and I still hate this generation. I grew up listening to 80's rap and then 90's and up.

All these 90's kids that claim to not know Bone thugs, OutKast and etc are just clowns that started listening to hip hop 5 years ago. They were prolly listening to pop music or rock before that. don't put us in that category

Chris Rock also put up an IG post of Tyler's album this morning saying its dope from start to finish and dont sleep on it.

Logic got talent even tho his album this year was corny

Even Kodak Black kinda surprised me. I listened to his album and was surprised how musical he was even tho his raps are ignorant/immature as hell. He can have a future in this if he writes better lyrics bcuz he def has an ear for making songs.

which was an extention from the late 80's ....

Krs-1 wasn't an instant legend he kept going .......

The craft was still pretty knew and many who started off close to the beginning was still working

to solidify themselves in the early to mid 90's so it was more connected ....

I could definitely relate to early 80's Hip-Hop and 90's Hip-Hop everything after that was more of a remake ......

I respected my era of hip hop for that matter: it kept things interesting and the possibility of a multi-plat artist disappearing was a very real possibility. Today, there's no competition: correct me if I'm wrong, as I don't claim to know much about the current state of hip hop affairs, but Drake still having a career is bad for hip hop and emceeing, which was birthed out of competition. Some weight for this argument lies with the consumerism of hip hop culture and the fact that there are enough pop fans who think Drake is something he's not: just like you're able to tell your friend that Biggie was nicer on the mic and better at crafting songs.

In our day, it was clear that Nas defeated Jay-Z when he dropped Ether. Jay was still able to have a career because he fought that battle well enough to gain the respect of the people. In contrast, Drake just embarrassed himself.

Nobody is willing to fight(lyrically) Drake or at least not anybody with the skill set to embarrass him. Everybody is friends and the competition doesn't exist anymore *sigh* that's why we are where we're at.
