Even Kodak Black kinda surprised me. I listened to his album and was surprised how musical he was even tho his raps are ignorant/immature as hell. He can have a future in this if he writes better lyrics bcuz he def has an ear for making songs.

And also the guys who do take the craft seriously, are often skipped over by these so called heads cuz they aren't in the headlines despite having passionate core fanbases (just the net according to yall lol) whether u know em or not, I see it a lot on here, makes me wonder how niggas consider themselves heads

It just need better balance, so the search for good hip hop with a effort that you can feel and hear, is played on the radio and given the platform and promoted.

I fucks with Lil Pump, Kodack, and even Tay Kay, but I don't wanna hear that shit all the time. We need newer rappers to come out to balance that. 95% of the youngest rappers out don't even try, they just ride meme lanes.

I appreciate the legacy of both rap and civil rights advancements the last few generations have given me. That said fuck the lazy quarter life crisis "back in my day it was so much better" "you kids are lazy" crybaby deadbeat parent ass hooligan negros who claim all the new music sucks.

No the radio doesn't have nearly as much power or balance as it used to hip hop wise. However this is the best time in the history of hip hop for the underground hip hop artist and or the mainstream hip hop artist to get content to fans.

The best selling rappers this year are Jay Z, J Cole (counting 4 your eyez sales since January), and Kendrick Lamar. Shit was getting so crazy that Kendrick in his like 4th 10th 11th week was out selling niggas who was releasing for the first week. J Cole by Saturday will have done 3 nyc area concerts and all of them are either sold out or seats will be bought the day of to sell it out. Hov's tour is the biggest black musical touring event of the fucking year. And even outside of the mainstream rappers you have cats like Odisee who can fill up smaller venues across the fucking globe. But please crybaby woe is me hip hop is dead ass niggas.....try to explain how mumble rap is taking over when every fucking mumble album is flopping or doing under 100K. Please equate a few one hit wonders selling out a small ass club to what wordsmiths like K-Dot and Cole are doing in major arenas and outdoor theaters.
