I don't think he's a racist for saying this...well, let me say I don't think this is a sign of his racism if he is in fact racism. He's saying what a lot of other musicians have about rap. Like it or not, a lot of them don't think rap is real music because of the lack of melody in the vocals and the inability of most rap acts to compose music or play instruments.

As a rap fan, I think those people are wrong, but I understand the argument.

It's 2016, I could understand if he made that statement in 1986 or something but even if I didn't like hip hop, I would use simple logic to see that hip hop has had a steady place in mainstream music for 30 years so what makes him think it will be gone in 10??
