on some real though most of these albums have too many features to be 5 mic albums. If half your tracks got someone else on it making it hot you can't get credit for that.

Its a hybird and it was marketed as such, the same sick-minded animals whining about guest-appearances
act like Damian Marley didnt sing on damn near every track on Distant relatives...
Same nicca's that say Flo Rida album aint "hiphop" enough wanna say "Distant Relatives" is "hiphop" enough
just because their hero Nas is on it.

The rest of those albums don't deserve 5 mics though I'd give Big Boi's album a close 4 mics. Drake and Eminem should get 3 mics and I don't even like Rick Ross's fat ass nor have I heard his album so I'd give that shit 2 cause I'm betting theres only 2 good songs on there and its overhyped like always.

Take note of how this guy admits that he HAS NOT heard Teflon Don yet he ASSUMES that the album is OVERHYPED and has only 2 good songs on it. He expects us however to believe that he can judge any music with an OBJECTIVE EAR. Just another example of the HYPROCRISY and DOUBLE STANDARDS exhibited in the online hiphop community. Are you related to Jamaica?

Awesome 300 word response.maximus preme;1043386 said:um Distant Relatives had only one guest apperence and that was K'naan. Everything else was Nas and Damien marley. Thank Me Later had 14 tracks, 7 of which had someone else on it making the song hot. You don't get credit for that shit if you are a rapper. Maybe if you are Dr. Dre or something but if you are a rapper that is being praised for your talent you shouldn't have 7 niggas on your album carrying you and if you do you don't get credit for that. I mean listen to unforgetable or whatever on Drake's album and seriously ask yourself is it a Drake song or a Young Jeezy song? Cause after the first verse you don't hear drake again except for on the hook. Jeezey was even the one who was closing out the song with his spoke word nonsense. So who really gets credit for that Drake or Jeezy?
Your hero Rick False had what one song where it was just him rapping and only like what 10 tracks like the shit was a classic. Fuck outta here. If you can't carry an album with 10 tracks you are soft. Period. I mean damn you mean you couldn't come up with 48 bars for more than 1 song and you call yourself a rapper? Nah mane that is weak. Especially when damn near everyone on your album is outshining you. Maybe if Rick Ross was shitting on everyone on his album but that wasn't the case. Sorry that shit is weak to me and unimpressive. Maybe you are easily impressed but not me. You gotta come harder than that. I don't just get hypnotized by beats. Especially when we talking about giving someone the highest possible grade for an album.

I agree when someone posted that "College Dropout" may be Hip Hop's last Classic cause it's true. I don't think there has been a true Classic since 2004 and before that you have to reach back to the early 2000's and 90's. No album on this list is a Classic but the closest would be The Roots album and Big Boi's solo album. Eminem, Drake and Rick Ross albums are 4 Mics at best and no where near Classic material. Fat Joe?, LOL. Big Bun? Doubtful it's a Classic. "Distant Relivtives" is very much a Hip Hop album so it should be considered since it's clearly one of the best albums of the year. Hopefully The Roots gets it for their legendary career. But because of politics and hype, I won't be shocked if they give it to Eminem since the Source never officially gave him 5 mics, it will be there "I'm Sorry Eminem, come back and be on the cover again" ploy. The Source is so damn pathetic it's sad.
