Kanye has AT LEAST two

Nope he has 2 good albums, no way is College Dropout or Late Registration classics, its too inconsistent and he is outshone by the features, hardly has a classic verse on the two albums.

College Dropout is a classic
LR, 808s, MBDTF are also arguably classic

Yall niggas...smh

You make to many excuses for his regression

Dude said what he wanted to say in his first two album's... Now he is trying to hard to be different...

This nigga went from All Falls Down to wanting fuck barely legal dikes

Money and fame changes people and the reason WTT was good was because Kanye had someone bigger than him to tell him no....same with jay

What kanye is doing isn't growth... It's pulling a 180...

Artist like U2 and Bruce Brinstein(sp) is the definition of growing... Kanye and Wayne... No so much

How has Kanye regressed?

The niggas flow and delivery was so weak on his first two albums, lyrically he was barely average and his drums use to be so garbage. He has improved a lot as a artist if you ask me, you might not like the direction of his content but you can't say he hasn't improved as a rapper skill wise.

All falls down to fucking barely legal dykes is musical progression
its darker, more controversial, fucks him up
its easy to say fuck the police, its harder to come up with a real story bout some bitches brother buying coke with his money, and them both fucking him over in the end
gets better music out of it... guy was tainted, hurt whatever you wanna call it, and makes better music cause of it imo..
emotional progression leads to musical progression

All Falls Down one of my favorite tracks ever btw

I will admit his wordplay has gotten 3xs better from 7 years ago... But 7 years ago kanye stood for something... He made music that felt like it was more than music
He was our U2 our Marvin Gaye... The problem was Kanye was starting to become bigger than the music he was putting out... Taylor Swiff and probably Amber Rose was the best thing that happend to him honestly... It brought that nigga down to earth and focus on the music again... New Day is very underated

Marvin Gaye and U2 didn't only make socially conscious music my dude. Stop trying to put artist in boxes, and Kanye has never carried himself like a conscious or backpack/nerd rapper anyways. That nigga has always been on that fashion, pussy, etc tip too.

Like i said early, you aren' the same person you were 7 years ago so why the fuck ya'll expect these artist to be the same. Kanye has seen and experience the shit we will never see in our lifetime, he ain't suppose to be the same person. If he was still trying to recapture College Dropout, then i would have a problem with that mf because he ain't showing growth.

If you listen to marvins and u2s early stuff till now you can see the growth... Marvin went from bubble gum music to "what's going on"

And I don't even have to go conscious... He made a CD call "here my dear" which is the realest CD put out...that's growth... Kanye was doing no different than what R.Kelly was doing

R.Kelly went from Down Low and When a Women's Fed up to Ignition Rmx and I'm a Flirt...Tre Songs called that nigga out for it ... R Kelly newest CD is growth... Not that other shit

If Jay Z can grow with his music why can't other artist... If Outkast can grow with their music why can't others... I'm not boxing him in... I just want him to stop being lazy and get back on his shit... I expect more from Kanye because I know hes better than this...

But in all honesty, if you wanna bring up Here My Dear though, I think that's comparable to Kanye's 808 and MBDTF. Both dealing with relationships. However, Marvin's had a stronger theme, and dealt with love from a more mature viewpoint.

I think Kanye's grown in terms of production. On the rapping side, technically to me he's gotten better, but yeah I don't think the subject matter's grown.

I feel like in the past artists, even though they got famous and no doubt succumbed to all the ills/rewards of a moneyed life, could still reach within them or observe the general world, and pull from that. Kanye, Jay etc are just pulling from that moneyed, celebrity life. Oh and Ye with his failed relationships.

Also, don't really think Jay-Z's grown too much musically, although he's good for dropping a jewel or two amidst all the BS.

Most of these artists today seem completely disconnected from the real world.

I agree with all you've said...
I think Jay started out good... Regress for the money... Show some signs of coming back with the Dynasty... and after the beef with Nas,
showed growth... Without Nas I think the BP2( the good songs) and the black album would've sound different....

And I like 808s but I look at Kanye the way I look at a kid that went from a 4.0 in highschool to a 3.0 in college because he decided to party all night and come to class late...
Like nigga I know you're better than this... Get your head back in those books... Do Dave Chapelle need to come back for Kanye to come back? You can't tell me niggas wasn't hyped from 03-05 when dave, Ye, and mos was together... It was a movement...

I don't want another CD from Ye... That would be corny... But I don't want a nigga making POP sounds talking about being a astronaut because he get ass a lot...smh
Kanye could've went the 3stack route with the growth without sounding the same... Ye makes it look like a gimmick...trying to hard to be different instead of just being himself

I see people say this all the time. You just don't want him to grow. I happen to prefer Kanye's first three albums over anything he has done since. WTT is an exception.

exactly how i feel, i lost complete interest after listening to 808's. MBDTF was alright, but kanye needs to go back to the

CD days.

Nobody wants college dropout. They want music they can feel more. That is at least the consensus of the fans who feel this way.

Power was a start in the right direction tho...

But when Ye came out with Can't Tell Me Nothin... Nigga was on some more than music shit... That beat was crazy
And the lyrics wasn't to bad either
