Power was a start in the right direction tho...

But when Ye came out with Can't Tell Me Nothin... Nigga was on some more than music shit... That beat was crazy
And the lyrics wasn't to bad either

Power is my favorite song on the album. Agreed about Can't tell me nothing.

Yall niggas...smh

You make to many excuses for his regression

Dude said what he wanted to say in his first two album's... Now he is trying to hard to be different...

This nigga went from All Falls Down to wanting fuck barely legal dikes

Money and fame changes people and the reason WTT was good was because Kanye had someone bigger than him to tell him no....same with jay

What kanye is doing isn't growth... It's pulling a 180...

Artist like U2 and Bruce Brinstein(sp) is the definition of growing... Kanye and Wayne... No so much

Your cherrypicking certain aspects of kanye's older music ...and not including the full spectrum of his message

and he's always been considered "different" then his contemporaries.....now all of a sudden he's trying to hard?

The biggest difference between Kanye then and now is he went from making music about "US" to making music about himself.

Call that growth if you wanna.

rap fans are funny as hell, ya'll want these rappers to be everything but themselves. I mean at some point you're gonna have embrace change and stop living in the past, how the fuck are ya'll gonna appreciate what's current and in the future if ya'll are so stuck on the past. There is no reason why ya'll can't appreciate College Dropout and My Beautiful Twisted Dark Fantasy both and for the different lanes they came from.

We've seen too many rappers fall off because they never shown any type of growth and evolution from the 90s.

I liked College Dropout

Loved late registration

Appreciated Graduation

Messed with 808's a coupla songs

Had MBDTF on mad replay last year

Shunned WTT

Its been a great career for dude but he has to cement his legacy with at least another dope solo album with less features and less co-producers

I like everything Ye's put out other than 808s. He's a artist so he could make almost anything sound good or like its got depth to it. But the idea that his current subject matter is growth is a misunderstanding of what it means to grow. Unless yall are talking about growing more shallow?

Why tho? He's basically creating these hip hop collective albums that are superior to most shit that's out ala dre on the chronic albums .... He's shown he can do an album by mostly himself ... On graduation ... Showed he can change the soundscape on 808's and he's delivered nearly 3 classics ... 1 forshure ... All he needs to do is stay in the game show that longevity and he'll have his rightful place in musics history

This nigga went from polo to skirts and blouses... And have inspired Wayne to wear jeggings to out do beyonces baby announcement

Being different and being a gimmick is two different thing... Andre 3000 did the same but you could hear it in his music that he was maturing and was looking at the world different...

Kanye and Wayne are making the same music but are doing stupid things to make people talk about them... Yall talk about 50 but Ye is doing the samething...

Dude I like almost every Kanye CD... But I'm not blind to the truth... Dude need to take some time off and find some inspiration

i agree with this...

Kanye is talented enough to make it in the biz with out the gimmicks.

His music doesnt reflect what we all know.

We've seen this nigga flame out on Punkd

We've seen "mr can't tell me nothing riiiii" have a conniption fit several times live.

but look at his words.

these niggas getting mad cause we don't see genius in everything this nigga do, he gets his props from folk, but these niggas wanna get all like, "how dare you not like everything he's ever done?!?!"

this why niggas be looking down on 90's babies, they don't know good shit when they hear and have become tainted by the likes of Will-I-Am

why is everything 90's babies stop throwing everyone under a bridge. I pretty much agree with you and i'm 90's baby.

plus all that shit about how he dresses why does that even matter. Who cares, so by how some one dresses is going to determine

your music taste that's some female ish.

Bruh....... you act like kanye wasn't doing that attention grabbing shit on his first album ... "george bush doesnt like black people"?? ...shooting 16 videos for jesus walks?? Alwasys being overly outspoken?? .... Bruh ...this is the same ass nigga ....maybe your just finally growning tired ...but lets not act like he has made some major personality 180 ...thats fiction
