You can not provoke domestic violence

You can not provoke a man or woman to be an abuser

Janay's assault charges refute that claim

You're missing her point. Abuser doesn't equal a one time incident like this one seems to be with Ray Rice. Abuser= long term and a history of incidents. This shit wasn't domestic violence this was 2 dumb asses getting into a fight in public and the person on the losing end just happened to be a woman. So yes you can provoke a person into hitting you, but no you cannot provoke a person into becoming someone who beats people on a consistent basis.

I'm not missing the point. This is what I mean when I say we gotta actually pay attention to his ENTIRE comment, not just the part part that fits our narrative:

1. He mentioned earlier in the comments in no uncertain terms that those people belong in jail and that there is no reason to do that.

2. The man never said that you can provoke someone into being an 'abuser'.

That wasn't a response to you so idk why you think I mean you're missing her point. I don't have an issue with what SAS said, but I can see how someone else would. It's really not that hard to see. Are those people 100% right? No, but why they feel the way they do isn't a hard concept to grasp.

I Misunderstood

But abuse can mean one time misconduct and repeated assault, so unless I missed where she specified a multitude of incidents then her rantings about using clear language are a bit funny

@Trashboat‌

But DOMESTIC abuse is generally referred to as a pattern of abuse, rather than one instance. For what it's worth.

not to faux feminists and their sympathizers... Ray Rice is being characterized as a domestic abuser based on this one incident that involved violence from both parties.

Agreed. I'm just trying to give the man info on the definition of the 'term', rather than the 'word'.

Aren't domestic violence and domestic abuse interchangeable terms that can refer to patterns of behavior and isolated incidents?

If not then what's the difference

between me and you

About five bank accounts three houses and two vehicles

It's cuz he said "provoke" which implies they deserve it.

I agree with his sentiments, everybody need to keep their hands to themselves.

The same Stephen A was shilling against hoodies right?

Checkmate. He talks too much shit

That seems to be how people are reacting

but provocation and justification are two different things

Simply causing something to happen does not justify it morally nor legally

and he never justified anything

Dude got suspended cause a strawman

If you can't articulate your thoughts

Then Stfu

I get what Stephen was saying

But it was said poorly and thats why it left room for interpretation

Oh well tough break nigga

No it wasnt, what he stated didnt leave room for misinterpretation.

If you possesed common sense, like i thought you did, then you would of known he articulated himself cleary.

She took his words, and twisted them. She said, he said things he neither stated or implied.

And instead of countering her agenda, which he could of simply done, he folded like laundry.

Its funny how all the men understood exactly what he said. But all the women didnt.

May be he used to much logic, for the average women.... And not enough irrationality and emotion.

And if you possessed basic reading comprehension above am 8th grade level

Not your half assed version of 'common sense'

You'd get it too

Words mean things

So use the right nouns, pronouns, verbs, and adjectives

And you'll never have to say I'm sorry

Anyways if thats so, why was he aplogizing for things that he did not imply or stated?

See this is where that 8th grade reading comprehension is so important

I have clearly stated that Stephen spoke of the matter poorly and that is why it left room for interpretation

I also stated I agree with Stephen and his only downfall is talking like an idiot

And yet here you are in your feelings getting way off topic

Lemme guess you've let a woman whoop your ass? That is the only logical reason I see to be this irrational with someone who agrees with you.

Dude, If somebody's apologizing for something they didnt say, then what that person actually said, is not the issue at all.

Cause if it was, then what the person actually said, would be the topic thats front, and center.. Not some strawman B.S.

Therefore the misinterpretation claim is void.

Stephen A took the same stance, on the same topic before. where was his suspension then, where was the misinterpretation then???

The only difference, is the white damsel in distress.

Funny, even after Stephen A said what he said, it was buisness as usual until Michelle Beadle's said something. interpretation.

Some controversy............

Once again, let me post my original post in this thread on Michelle's hypocrisy:

So on facebook there's a bunch of angry people commenting on this photo

Robert F Davis Men who abuse women do NOT deserve to be role models. Some of us DO care about sexual abuse. Particularly those of us who have wives and daughters.

Lyn Beavers Rape, murder, pillage, beat your wife/girlfriend within an inch of their lives, torture and kill puppies and dogs! As long as you can play this ridiculous game on a supposed pro level we'll reward you with riches, slap you on the back and say you're a hell of a guy!

Damian Deforge And amazingly the only real qualification is the fortuitous factor of being born titanic sized. Many sound like they have IQs around 90 when they talk.. Gigantic toddlers on steroids. Dangerous indeed.

Judith Schultz I am very happy to add my name to the list of men and women who detest violence in any form. Let the punishment fit the crime. Ban violent players forever.

Shirley Muramoto-Steele Suggestion to all die hard WOMEN fans of the NFL, Not until the NFL shows respect for ALL WOMEN, wives, girlfriends, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, all females BOYCOTT!! The NFL has never paid minimum wages to their TEAM CHEERLEADERS!! We are once again treated as second class citizens and WE MUST STAND TOGETHER for RESPECT and human decency!!

Tanja Pawluczkowycz O'Dell You are forgetting that she hit him first. You are an idiot, and you do not speak for all us real women!

Elyse Belladonna ^ WTF? Tanja, please tell me you're joking.....

Kimberly Warner Freaking BS, they should be fining the drug positive player and drop kicking the other player out of the NFL. Seriously he's suspended how many games for smoking pot, I know it's been mult times, fine him and move on, the loser on the bottom knocked his then fiancé out and dragged her body out of the elevator only gets a two game suspension. Pathetic!

Destinie Barnhurst He should have been kicked out of football forever

Only a few people saw through the propaganda

Drew Damnjanovic Yea the loser on the top also pushed his baby mama down and broke her collarbone, plead guilty in April.

Dave Smith This is highly distorted. Daryl Washington, #58 on the Arizona Cardinals was arrested for domestic abuse in 2013 for pushing his girl friend down breaking her collarbone. In 2013 he was suspended for substance abuse, and again in 2014 suspended for the season for substance abuse. To simply say he was suspended for the season due to some weed without noting the previous issues, especially his domestic abuse, is a total distortion.

Da Fridge First of all the reason that the guy got suspended for a year for using weed is because he got caught on numerous times ... so as a repeat offender the punishment gets heavier every time ... look most of ya acting like ya are perfect everyone in life makes mistakes and the difference between most people is how you rise from your mistake ... yea I don't condone hitting women but hey no one saw wat happened in that elevator ... All we saw was her being dragged out ... & also its just like Stephen A Smith says there are provocations that we didn't see ... do I think the punishment should of been more heavier yes but did the court look at the same way Goodell did? yes ...

Just to be different i'ma say two games was too much
