I've watched documentaries and heard nina talk

with that said, zoe still sounds and looks nothing like nina in the previews

the black face is also offensive

and I refuse to believe she was the best actress for the job

this is just another example of film makers opting for the more palatable option

what's makes the casting even more shameful and somewhat ironic is that nina, growing up in the jim crow south, felt her dark skin, wide nose and big lips limited her opportunities ...which I'm sure it did
