I am so over this fantasy white people have on black men and women (mostly black men) that the sight of their skin can induce fear. Where the person who "feels" scared can shot to kill and not go to jail because they are protected by the law.

Any of us can be killed just by the color of our skin and the perpetrator can get away (unless they are black). something needs to be fixed by that.

And FYI: that Stand Your Ground shit ain't leaving Florida no time soon, guilty verdict on the M1 charge or not. Plus he didn't beat the Murder 1 charge, it was a mistrial, which means they'll do this shit again while he serving time for all the other shit he got got on.

This case will be used as an example for other SYG cases. That's the issue. You can get away with murder and shooting a missile into a car but will will only go to jail for attempted murder for the ones that survived.

He should havr been found guilty for murder 2.That charge was on the case and it was a mistrial. Black lives are not important which this country tells us every time.

Forgiveness is not given because it is deserved by the person you are forgiving, it is given because you, as the victim, don’t deserve to carry the burden of hatred and bitterness that goes with not forgiving and moving on. It's as simple as that. Their son is dead. He is not coming back. They are human, so I am certain that they were seething at some point and working through that rage is monumentally difficult, but it's a process and worth the effort. About these black parents... Am I going too far if I state black parents let their children down in a way? Feel me on this. When white children get murdered senselessly their parents will fight to prevent that same scenario from happening again. They'll get on the same page, put pressure on politicians and won't rest till laws get changed. I'm not even talking about white men but even soccer moms. Examples you ask? Megan's law? Drunk drivers getting harsher sentences? These white parents will fight for their kids unlike black parents.

Now if we take a look at these black people and parents in particular all they do is march, moan and say stuff like they'll let the lord deal with whoever murdered their children. There is. Because I haven't once heard them state that they don't want him to sit in jail and rot for what he did. You can extend forgiveness for your own healing and still want his deed to be punished. Thats how it sounds to me.

By overcharging she knew she was making it harder on the jury...either they get him on the main charge or he walk away with a lesser sentences on the lower charges. Corey never formally charged Dunn with murder 2 or manslaughter, the judge was the one that said the jury could consider the lesser charges. Had Corey actually argued for murder 2 instead of murder 1, he probably wouldn't have gotten off.

I understand that. What I don't understand is...is there no premeditation involved in attempting to kill some people? Or does one attempt to murder someone without thinking about it? My understanding of premeditation, and I assume that there are varying definitions from state to state, is that if you knew at the time of your actions that death is likely to occur, that's all that is needed. I don't have to have thought about killing the nigga 10 minutes ago.
