Quick and easy answer to thread title....King of NY?=Jay Z, Who makes the better music out of Jay and Nas? = Debatable....A King means more than just music people...But anyways just enjoy LIG and leave Jay out of it, whos life is REALLY good lol

Keep baiting bruh, somebody will eventually bite.

Who am I baiting? Can't say things just cuz it sounds good, have some validity in your argument.

Jay has 2 classic album Blueprint and Black Album.... Reasonable doubt is dated and overrated and American Gangsta is not classic... Nas has Illmatic/It Was Written and Stillmatic.... the rest of the albums between the 2 are good-average. NAS fucked up when Nastradamus leaked along with Lost tapes cuz that coulda been another classic...

Im sittin here wondering If we in the twilight Zone or some shit. Im not understanding why other posters aint seein it this way including those Nas albums you touched on. I mean I dont pay Tommy no mind because he said in a thread he's a Nas fan so he's just trollin ...but these other cats say Reasonable Dought is a Classic. I fucks wit D'Evils, can I live 2, and BK finest but with Songs like a simp Athem Aint No Nigga, joints with horible production with wack beats like Regrets, 22 twos, Politics is usual, and Coming of age, comparing it to Black and Blueprint is Laughably disrespecting those two classics. Then you even got people saying Kingdom Come was a good album and not a dud, niggas acting like BP3 and Volume 1 was hot ol 'city is mine' ass niggas...What is these niggas smokin? wow

JayZ gets no play from the thoroughbreds in NY. In his hometown he's considered old and flabby. Nas buried him, Cam dug him up and re-buried him.

"You can fool the rest of the world, long as New York know..."

Only on the internet will you hear Jay raps better than Nas lol. Only on the internet will you consider someone a better emcee because they sell more records. Only on the internet do people still even listen to JayZ after the Black Album. In real life (or at least in NY) that's unheard of... on some 100% no jokes shit, JayZ is finished. Like all the way finished.

Nas has never made an album close to BP, BA, or AG.

Yeah, he made albums better than BP, BA and AG (especially that overrated piece of shit "The Black Album")

manofmorehouse;4708160 said:
Aside from that, niggas are hypocritical as fuck on here. You ask for maturity and growth from Jay z, then you say Kingdom Come was garbage??? LOL ok...

That garbage ass album was rushed, it sounds forced and while he tried his best to step up his subject matter, "Kingdom Come" failed miserably....I said Jay couldn't make a wacker album than KC but I was wrong when he dropped "Blueprint 3".

Jay gets a lot of credit after the fact for reasonable doubt... I was in my teens when that dropped and folk outside on NY dont put it on that same pedestal. Im gonna act like a NewYorker and say its a regional classic lol.... We aint fuck with it like that. Its crazy tho cuz in the 90's It was Written and I am got way more play in the South. Folk aint start listening to Jay til Hard Knock Life dropped with the Annie Sample after Biggie died. Its crazy how perception changes... Blueprint and Black Album were classics

i'm of the opinion that black album isn't a classic i just don't see it

production wise and flow (I dont like Jays faster old flow) I feel Black album is better and has better replay value that Reasonable Doubt

So you mean illmatic was not a classic because it did not sell as much as RD? Lol you seem to forget that Illmatic sold less than RD

Production wise? Both kanye beats sucked, threat sucked, that trash dj quick produced sucked,my 1st song and dirt off your shoulder sucked all them beats garbage

Blacc album isnt a classic thats the sheep answer just like illmatic is another sheep answer

Reasonable doubt blows both of em out the water

And niggas was bumpin reasonable doubt in 96 cuz It was a nigga wit 18's on a tracker who use to bang brookyns finest, can I live & dead presidents who lived below us and I'll be,aint no nigga and cant knock the hustle was on the box and radio

First off, we all know who goes to those overpriced shows. Secondly, have you ever been to a Jay performance? The bulk of his performance is old ass songs from his Rocafella days, none of that post Black Album garbage.

I said he he was finished as in he fell of, not as in he was never on... comprehension bruh.

I cosign this but half.. When Hov drops an album niggaz listen to it.. But he dont make albums for NY.. He make em for the world as a whole.. And NY cant relate to Euro Hov.. But if he ever decided to go back to his roots and drop a banger for the streets.. NY will fall right in line to support him...

Jay gets grossly overrated IMO though.. WTT wasnt that good to me man.. People give that album critical aclaim I dont get it.. Niggaz in Paris sounds more like a Jingle that a real song IMO.. Like cmon them niggaz could do better...

It sells though so there is no incentive for them to really do better...

Basically.
