People on here trying to front like every NFL team is relevent it's a joke.

The chargers have won the division and have a top 5 to 10 QB and can't sell out (probably cause they are in Cali) I live in Texas and the Mavs have been better than the Cowboys for about ten years now but this is football country and so is most of the country. You don't find it ironic that LA the second biggest market has no NFL team, maybe cause they don't care about Football like that

The Jags are trying to move right now

Like I said before it ain't an NFL vs. NBA thing

People acting like Football isn't more popular on any level than Basketball

Let's see why : Maybe cause people can't relate to Basketball as much cause it is alot harder to make it to the league, anybody can make a high school football team. Also like I said before if you don't think race plays an issue you are crazy. People like to cheer for people that they can relate to and that is a fact. When you got 90% of the people at the games being white that probably explains why they may be a little hesitate about spending money on a "tatted up thug" . The NFL gets the built in advantage of having helmets on so players don't really get put out there it's more about the team. Like I said these are all advantages that are built in. College B-Ball has a one game playoff and doesn't have alot of games and etc etc but you guys are crazy if you think Alabama or Auburn is riding with B-Ball over Football regardless of the factors you are talking about.

Also the whole ref thing in the NBA is so overblown, nobody on here will admit that the hits on QB's and pass interference aren't messing up the NFL, there is more flags out there now than ever before. The NBA is better now than at any point since Jordan left.

Bottom line you can compare Football to Basketball but you can't just say the NBA sucks cause it don't got the popularity of the NFL cause almost everything you said that's bad in the NBA is the exact opposite in College B-Ball and it makes no difference. College B-Ball is going through it's worst period ever so I would say the NBA is doing pretty good

I also prefer the NFL over the NBA because it's more competitive. Since 1999 the Lakers have gone to the finals 7 times, the Spurs 4, and the Mavs 1. The East switches it up more, so that's good. In the NFL the AFC has sent 7 teams since 1999, and the NFC sent 11. In the Super Bowl, 8 games since 1999 were decided by 1 possession. In the NBA 6 finals since 1999 were either 4-1 or a clean sweep. There's less competition in the NBA.

What are these Marquee matchups that you speak of ?

I guess I am just a fan but I have no problem watching a clipper vs. golden state game on a tuesday night, what else is on. Maybe one difference for me is that I am a super fan of sports so games on Sunday and Monday are just not enough for me the whole year. I really don't get into Basketball hard till the NFL season is done but during the NFL season I can't watch NFL live and NFL matchup and all this. I mean the Monday morning sportscenter is the only one worth watching for NFL highlights the rest of the week is spent on talking about the upcoming sunday. I can catch NBA highlights every morning on sportscenter. The NFL puts out about four games a week three on sunday and one on monday night. The season is like half the year, sorry I like the fact that Basketball is on every night of the week. I see the flip side like if you are a casual sports fan and you just want to tune in once a week then the NFL is for you. I like to see games, I am not going to watch 20 hrs of NFL draft coverage, and mini camps etc.

Teams like LA BOS MIA OKC playing each other

LOL I played basketball my whole life up to my 2nd year in college, I still love playing the game Im not casual about it at all

Its just not entertaining anymore

WRONG.

Jaguars were in the playoffs a couple times in the past few years, and they almost made it again this year.

Panthers were also in the playoffs a couple years ago (I remember Delhomme throwing 5 INTs in 1 playoff game not too long ago).

Texans were a playoff contender this year and have the best WR in the league.

NFL = Franchise Tag

NBA = No franchise tag

And losing 1 player in the NFL doesnt devastate a team the same way it does in the NBA.

SMH. You trying to turn it into a race issue when all the legitimate points I brought up in the OP had nothing to do with that. SMH.

that's the way nba and nfl teams are set up the games are very different so of course trades will affect them differently...so you want to restructure the way teams are too?

I co-sign everything you said but that wasn't a problem in the Jordan era or the Magic and Bird era when the NBA was bigger than the NFL ? The NBA has always been a star driven league and are dominated by a select few teams so why now does that make you turn away, never was a problem before.

Well I can't argue with you then, I was speaking more as a whole on why people can relate to the NFL more than the NBA

That is very interesting to me that you lost interest like that, for me I feel like the NBA is going up with Chicago and New York back. I feel you on watching those teams but for me I like to watch individual great players go at it as well and that is why I like it now cause there are good point guard matchups like every night. Paul vs. Williams vs. Nash vs. Westbrook vs. Curry vs. TP but I agree it's not really good teams going at each other but there are good matchups on any given night.

What era of B-Ball did you like and what years did you feel like it started to slip

haha, man I'm only 23 years old. So it's not a why do I turn away now type thing. I went back to when I was 11/12 years old. The Jordan era was when I was like 3-10

I feel you, but I like it more now than the Lakers and Spurs dynasties. The east was so ugly with Detriot and Indiana scoring 60 points in a game. Also back then you almost never had a good finals match up but now and for a while to come you should get to good teams in the finals. The laker vs kings was great but it wasn't the finals and can't compare to Lakers vs. Celtics for round three this year or Lakers vs. Miami in finals too me

But if you get that finals you might be right back to the Lakers dynasty. Could be another 3-peat. It just seems like a waste of time to have 82 games to get to the inevitable. I don't fuck with the NBA a lot, so I dunno how many games in they are. But don't most of ya'll bigger NBA fans feel like you already know who has a legit shot at makin the finals. But now you still gotta wait for a whole lot more games to be played to get to it.

The NBA is not what it use to be...water'd down talent, and the way the business sense of the nba is run also adds to the devaluving..it's a fact...

it's not run better then the NFL..there's only a hand ful of teams u will actually watch that's arent your home team and that's it...

the refs sucks, the commish sucks, and too many teams to spread the already water'd down talent....it's not as entertaining as it was in the 90s..the playsoff are always good

but NBA fans soley need to come to the real....the NBA is not the same anymore...and it takes a back seat to the NFL.....

The NFL is too fucking slow and repetitive. Watch a team try to run the ball over and over gettin 2 or 3 yards at a time, they get no where and punt it. Or a team is pass heavy and the receivers cant catch shit and the game is won by a dude who was only on the field 3 or 4 posessions. Watching most NFL games unless its your favorite team is like watching paint dry.

I agree but it wasn't any different than when the 49ers and Cowboys were in the late 80's and 90's NFL. I mean I don't really have a problem with having a few great teams but I can see why you like the parody in the NFL. So do you like the NFL now more than when they had historic teams out there ? But I can't argue with you the Parody in the NFL is something that really hasn't been seen in any sport. The parody and the one and done make it to where you have alot more teams winning and is unpredictable. The NFL really is the first and only league to reach parody cause when you have 7 game series and top heavy teams the best teams wins the championship like the Red Soxs and Yankees and Lakers and Celtics. The NFL use to be like this but it made the change and it is better for it can't lie. It was nice to see NO win a bowl last year cause in the old NFL it would have never been possible. My only problem is when you have two mediocre teams in the Bowl like if you ask me would I have rather watched LA vs. Boston in the finals again or the Bears and Jets in this years bowl it wouldn't even be close and generally I go with the NFL

Horrible Post. Most RB's average at least 4 yards a carry first off. If a receiver drops 10 passes in a season he has a reputation for havin bad hands...so I dunno which receivers u mean that can't catch shit. And most QB's complete at least 60% of their passes. Compare that to NBA players FG% if you wanna try that ol bullshit.

to add...the nba is gonna take over the N.O. hornets cuz they can't find a buyer..while the NFL is pushing for more games (stupid idea)

in the nfl u can still get a superstar in the later rounds while in the NBA after the 10th pick it's pretty much useless and even the top picks barely pan out

still love the sport..but nigs are acting like the nba is in good hands right now...NO it's not!

Is it going to beat the NFL no but is it better now than the last ten years yes.

I mean the ratings for last years finals were some of the highest ever and now that Bron is on the heat and the Knicks and Bulls are back I think the future is very bright. If bron and Wade can form a new dynasty the league will be just fine
