I just dont understand comments like this. Most NBA games have one team scoring around 100 points a game. In his prime Tmac was putting up 25-30 points a night. How is a quarter of the team's points a minimal impact.. from ONE player who is shooting 40% or better.

Its the when and how that makes your points effective.. impactful

Ok, but his prime was in ORL.. with minimal talent around him. I'm just saying how is he NOT impactful if those teams made it to the playoffs and he BALLED out even more then?

imma make some people mad but yall overrating grant hill. i was a big grant hill fan but i saw him play every day and he is a second option.

no not really. in Detroit. from his first year to his last, he couldn't be guarded. He didn't need a superstar to play alongside him. he could get to the bucket anytime he wanted to. scoring on double teams regularly because Mark Macon, Rafael Addison, and Oliver Miller weren't occupying defenders. He easily could have scored 25+ a night, but he was raised by his uncle tom and actually went to college so he actually knew how to play basketball unselfishly.

Idk theres 25 5 5 on a losing team and not being a solution just part of the equation and. then there 18 4 9 on a winning time being a part of the reason why

not saying he was largely ineffective but sometimes you gotta look beyond the raw numbers

Him and Allan Houston were a dynamic 1. 2 when Allan could actually ball and not be a glorified 3 pts shooter

When i say not meaningful , alot of his points would come early in the games alot of times . Its not how much you score its when you score them . Yea T-Mac was good I wont say he is a bum. But he looked good when he scored ( pause ) . But when it came down to crunch time in big games alot of the times ( not all ) he would disappear .

Im taking a healthy Grant Hill. He would torch you for like 33/12/8 with out you noticing till its too late because of his playmaking ability. T-Mac just shot the ball as much as he wanted because he didnt have much of a choice. He didnt make any of his teammates better. The Orlando Magic was a one trick dog at that time.

T-Mac made Drew Gooden, Pat Garrity, and Mike Miller look pretty damn good if you ask me

LOL Tmac didnt have the more complete game but his team impact is way higher. More win shares, Scoring champ, and #1 in PER in the same season. Multiple seasons in the top3 PER. Its not close. Grant Hill had better teammates.

How? by watching T-Mac score and getting the rebound if he misses just to give him that ball again?

T-mac talent wise, but he wasted it and I was disappointed in him when he went to Houston and was on a championship before Yao started getting hurt.Hill contributed recently to that Phoenix Suns team that went beyond the first round in the play offs. The Rockets made it to the second round without T-Mac.So Hill as a player and the impact he had.

That Rockets team with T-Mac,Yao and Steve would have been an all time great team and would have won a championship if it was not for T-Mac.A healthy Vince Carter, kobe,Jordan or Wade would have won a ship with that team.

They never all played together in the playoffs when healthy
