Depends on how much you care about the future generations and how much you care about other human being sin general.

I'd splurge like a muthafukka and give some to a few ppl. Other than that...I'm with you. Fuck charities. Well most of them anyway.

Money doesn't extend your your expiry date nor does it give you optimal health.

I agree. What is the point of that? People like him who are accumulating billions and then living in a 35K home do not impress me. I don't think "wow, he's humble...look at him." Instead, to me, it just seems he's collecting assets just to get off on seeing some ridiculously high net worth number.

I just dont get the point of working all your life to secure all of that wealth just to stockpile it & not enjoy your life. I'd build an underwater hotel just for me or a complete replica of Vercetti Mansion from GTA Vice City somewhere off of the Brazilian shoreline with 4 dominican broads feeding me sliced bananas & fruit rollups. The Good Life lol...Niggas is worth $30 Billion & driving chevrolets....really bruh? really...

I cant fucking stand when I read about Billionaires who decide to live modest....shit is stupid. Warren Buffet worth like $40 Billion & he still living in a regular house. What's the point? Why even bust your ass everyday in the office, doing 100 hour workweeks, dealing with the stress of being a CEO/Chairman if you not gonna live in the indulgence of being ridiculously wealthy?]

I'm not the most ballin'est nigga, but I have some change. Man last summer I spent about 10K just on frivolous shit and I was tired of spending money. It was very small scale Brewster's Millions but you can understand what dude felt at the end of the movie. As far as the deals and the hard work, man there is nothing like winning. I don't know what you do but the feeling of buying/rehab/selling property is a good fucking feeling. Really, it is a better feeling than sex. Then you find yourself doing it all over again to chase the high.

If I were a billionaire, I'd live in the same (or another small) apartment. I'd spend most of it on charity, help to finance the abolitionist project and the rest would go towards books and food.

depends on the person....there are plenty rich people who splurge...maybe that's just Buffet's personality

I dont think its so much of being frugal as of him just not wanting anything he doesnt need. If he needed a palace then for sure he would have one. but why? one of my instructors told us, you can have a house with 13 rooms but you can only be in one at any one time, and more than likely you are only going to use 3 or 4 at the most. Things like that are just there to display your wealth to others but when you got 40 billion and everyone knows you got 40 billion then where is the need? And like Mr. Terrific said hes probaly still working because he loves doing what he does.I think even in retirement we still need some focus, some sense that we are still needed. Thats probaly what keeps wanting to stay alive plus the man is like what 80, if he was doing the foolishness yall talking about I would think it would be a bit immature. Even hugh hefner with his playboy mansion is only doing that because it brings and keeps more attention and interest..money...to his business.

when you have money like that it really isnt everything anymore...but since money is such an issue for most us, we cant get around that thought.

Probably because constant indulgence can become redundant...
After grossing a few billy ... they probably are like "why do I need all this shyt that I never use in the first place?"

At the end of the day they're probably just happy with having the choice that money brings.

Let me be worth $10 Billion Dollars...man, fuck a Charity & I'm building a Palace....10 blocks from the White House

And that is your choice. Not everyone cares to have mansions, fancy cars, jewels etc. Not everyone's idea of luxury has anything to do with your idea of what that is. That whole "one man's trash is another man's treasure" applies here as well. Your opinion doesn't make their choices stupid.

I have no desire to live in a house you need a team to clean. If I become wealthy, everyday folk will not know it. I would continue living a humble existence but with financial freedom and comfort knowing that I don't have to struggle or worry about making ends meet. My funds would be put towards my families future, the people/youths, travel and my overall goals. Screw a charity, I'm rich, I can personally put that money towards any cause and know exactly what has happened to it.

if u have a lot of money and u aint doing shit with it you should have thta money taken away from you

that crackkker is just keeeping that money to have it, so other people can't have it like a fagot

Like what exactly? Who could even make that assessment? Who exactly could decide whose plans (to put that money to use) is worthy enough to keep all of it?

I feel you on that. So many wealthy people just accumulate interest on top of funds that are forever sitting there opposed to actually putting it towards their community and others who actually need just a fraction of what they make in a day. However, T/S is not speaking on that. He is talking about how absurd it is to have the means but not put it towards selfish, tangible things. How can you sit here and actually be mad at others for not indulging in what they may not feel is necessary to live their lives? I highly doubt they'd waste any thoughts/emotions on his opinion.

At the end of the day, no matter how good your intentions are for thinking that way (the highlighted), none of us can decide who should and shouldn't be allowed to do what they want with their money. We can either sit here and stress over what everyone else is doing or make a move towards getting to a place where we can actually do something about it.

People who are that wealthy are usually just people who had an idea that they truly believed in and it just happened to be a great moneymaker. Their happiness tends comes from being able to change aspects of the world, not in the money it generates. People who do great work with the hope of getting rich, rather than getting rich with the hope of doing great work might just be the true definition of hustling backwards.
