Exactly, which is why when some don't quite get what they bargained for they end up leaving.
@ The highlighted-Yup. Which sometimes makes it even funnier to hear Americans forever complaining.

i do know a few people who ended up moving back, but this is rare, and usually after years of serious misery. considering how difficult it is to come to the united states from africa (can take 20 years and thousands of dollars) i don't see how someone would just let all that go to waste

I too personally know people who have came here and returned home. They may have come from a place of less opportunity and different struggles but to them America was more toxic and even caused them to lose a piece of themselves. It happens. Some think they can find something here that they couldn't in their own country and when they realize they were wrong they leave. And just the same, many Americans leave the country/continent for those same reasons.

Which is why I on one hand I feel bringing another child into this world would be pretty selfish of me considering I am not blind to our reality.

Yup, it certainly can be for some until the covers are taken off from over their eyes. I'd rather be in the know. I'll rest in peace when my time comes.

but i feel like stressing over shit that's out of your control is not the business neither. it would be a lot easier to just live my life without having to worry about these things

Yup, stress kills. Which is why you can't sit here on the daily allowing things out of your reach to eat away at you. Not saying you have to accept reality itself but change what you can and accept that certain things you cannot and know the difference between the two. I know, easier said than done when you are in fact affected. And when you are affected, triggers to set it off exist everywhere in our society.

Even though they''re not necessarily rich, this is kind of the reason why i shake my head at Asians.

I admire their work ethic but I never understood coming here to the states to bust your ass in school to get a great job....only to become a workaholic who never spends his/her money and be a controlling dick to their future kids. Cool life.

I said this many of times. Everyone do not do the same thing with their money. I hate when people try to bondage everyone to be a certain way, rich or poor. A lot of people think it's a mandatory to buy certian labels and waste a certain amount of money, while others may just be satisfied with knowing they got the money. Some people are living their life like a journey, more than a competition.

A lot of people buy bigger houses for reasons, some people do not find a need for all that space. If some people buy a very big house, then they might have to deal with a large number of family and friends trying to move in the house, and depending on them.

stars usually move way out in big houses because they no longer can live peacefully in the general population. Buying a large amount of material things, might be a waste for some since they are only 1 person and can only use 1 thing at a time. Some people buy things when they need it, or they are living life as a adventure while they can.

The point of being rich without indulgence is what you would call a future. I understand buying you that car you always wanted or some simple shit like that. But if you ain't building for a future what are you even rich for?? I want that money to stretch for the next couple of generations, where my kids, kids, kids, kids, can benefit from that shit. If I indulge and blow that shit now and have nothing to show for it later, that just shows I know how to spend money, because none of the shit I bought is gonna matter in the grand scheme of things.

exactly. Whats wrong with black people in america is they don't understand the point of really being rich they do it for SHOW & TELL purposes. I always hated the mentality that someone was broke, because of what type of CLOTHES they wear. Everyone do not have the same taste, and just because a person have money do not mean they need to be held in material bondage and prison. Trust me I know people who live un happy materlistic lives, and then it get to a point they can't even afford what they buy, but since they have made a reputation as being ( Mr or Mrs. It) now they have bondaged themselves to buy it even when they can't afford it, because they made themselves a material IMAGE.

Thats alll fine and dandy...but there's some niggas who could spend a billy and it wouldn't faze their net worth......and they don't.

And really in the grand scheme of things, you might as well spend as much as you can while your alive, cuz theres no guarantee your descendants will spend it/use it/ be alive to see it/ etc.
