Of all the movements to come out of NY like The Roc, Bad Boy, G-Unit, etc. I fucked with the Dipset the hardest.

Diplomatic Immunity and Come Home With Me are classic albums to me, Cam is a Top 10-15 rapper but I do agree about him having limited subject matter.

How was Dipset a movement, when the only reason why they got hot was because of the Roc affiliation?

What you mean? Dipset was killing the streets with the mixtape before the Roc, more people started fucking with the Roc because of the Dips they didn't need any of the Roc artist to get them buzzing.

SMH dude Cam's career was in the skidders before Dame rescued that nigga, i don't where you are coming from with that killing the streets and lol at people fucking with the Roc because of Dipset. Nigga in what world were you living?

I mean lets not act like Beans, Bleek, and Jay weren't doing their thing or Roc the Mic was bigger than any of those Dipset singles ever.

If DI was a solo album with just cam and one disk it probably would be a classic. It's always been one of the biggest wastes of Classic beats in history.

Shouldve been a cam solo

the bold is evidenced by the Cam line "La Pisa Pisa eating a piece of pizza/You can't be where I be dawg you need a visa" line on I'm Ready....

how can roc the mic be bigger than any dipset single when oh boy is the biggest single in def jam history. Jay Z dont even have a single thats bigger than Oh Boy. there you go talking that stupid shit. You act like Dipset got to the Roc in 98 or something. Cam signed at the end of 01. the same time Jay Z got that ether dropped on him and he took his bitch ass france to lick his wounds and came back with that euro jay z bullshit that the streets of NYC wasnt feeling. Dipset gave Rocafella credibility. Who on the Roc was reppin New York. SP are PHILADELPHIA NIGGAS stupid. Bleek? You telling me bleek was holding down NY in 2003-2004? couldnt been Jay Z because Nas made him Quit so imma ask your triangle headed ass again WHO WAS REPPIN NEW YORK AND ROCAFELLA? GTFOH. Dipset in the prime>Rocafella in they prime easily. Jay Z claimed Cam as a Roc arists. Cam didnt claim none of those Roc niggas Dipset. Dipset is larger than Rocafella Records (Jay and Dame side) Roc Nation, Roc La Familia and Good Music COMBINED. LMAO @ Dipset not being a movements. Your old ass was on these forums back then stop playing dumb. Stop actin like these same boards you suck Jay Z dick on wasnt INFESTED with Dipset propaganda all day. Smack DVD freestyles, Mixtapes, Interviews and Radio rips used to shut the IC down for hours at a time. Rocafella aint never been official like that. Jay Z numbers aint never been that deep

Dipset wasn't a movement?

they were a movement, but being on the Roc gave them a push...read a Cam interview from around the time he first signed to the Roc...Cam had an alcohol problem that almost killed him before Dame came and helped him out

People fucked with Beans but the Roc wasn't popping like that outside of Jay, the Dips brought a different style to the Roc that brought more attention to the artist there and if your talking about the song then Oh Boy>>>>>>>Roc The Mic

A nigga who never lived up to his potential. Its obvious alot of niggas didnt check for Cam until dip set got big. Come Home with me a classic? Thats not even his best album. CHWE was actually the start of his decline lyrically. Listen to Cam on mixtapes before CoF. Listen to Cam on guess appearances after CoF. Listen to Cam on SDE (especially if you happened to get the bootleg of the unreleased version. Then listen to Cam on CHWE. It the lyrical decline isnt obvious, you must be deaf. Cam had the skill to become a A quality rapper. He bounced back from his wack debut with a damn near perfect sophmore release. The he releases a successful album, gets comfortable and puts toi much focus on pushing garbage rappers (Juelz, Hell Rell). Went from a candidate for class president to class clown. Along with mediocre album after mediocre album. But in his defense, he made some good music and made his money.
