You could say the same thing for being gay. There are mad lesbians and gay men who hate the word queer, fag, and dyke because they are negative words associated with same sexuality and anti-gayness, but younger lgbt people in the community routinely use the word. It is what it is to me.

Yeah but... what does age have to do with anything? People are adding that dynamic just because the guy was old but he didn't mention age in his little rant except to say that he was 74 (which was for context).
