U didn't see what a wrote at the top. He had a legitimate argument VERY LEGIT, but he was cussing out and insulting one of the top heads of Def Jam. Instead of them understanding that Dame was right, Kevin Liles probably went back saying THAT BALD HEADED BASTARD!!!!!

Good and Dame being the Head of his Label told that sucker right. Kevin knew exactly what Def Jam was doing. Dame had been in the industry making moves for years before the ROC. So, with seeing every trick in the book he, knew he had to lay him down. I am not accusing you but some Blacks just can't be pleased. I see the complaining all the time on this site and in real time. Black Execs and Artist are always getting jerked. If, they were watching this or watching that, this wouldn't have happened etc. The dude that fought the hardest for his artist to make it, gets dumped on? Unbelievable.

I don't recall either of these two execs. Fighting thier way through the Ranks of HIP HOP. A genre that was a bastard child and not taken seriously. Here again, every Blackman has to play the I am the Negro role to make it and continue making it. Thanks for throwing us all in one box. L.A. had his way, Steve had his way and Dame had his. That's call diversity. White businessman have the pleasure of not having to be clones of each other.

Why are you acting like Dame was the prototype, last time i check he aint Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin. How do you know it wasn't Dames arrogance that made it harder for Rocafella to make it in the first place?

If, Dame wasn't aggressive there would have been no LABEL and he would have ended up broke and doing something he didn't Love to do. I see you aren't getting the gist here. You just want a BlackMan to roll over and be a bitch about his Business. Only White Businessman can be aggressive and ambitions? I got you!!

See u can be aggressive without being an asshole. Like USmarine3 say the asshole was is not the only way to the top. Not biting the had that feeds me is not rolling over and being a bitch.

Its not that we give Jay too much credit cuz YES Dame played his part. But Dame is a victim of more of his own ignorance than anything. As much people wanna blame Jay for his downfall, people need to blame Dame himself too!!!

Who's blaming whom? I am certainly not blaming anyone. Both Dame and Jayz have more Money then you or I will ever see. And Dame didn't Just play his part. He made his ARTIST what they are today!!! Stop diminishing Dame's role, only prop up Jayz.

WTF are you talking about? White or Black, if you're an asshole to people going up, they are going to kick you when you are down. FACT. What does Dame's abrasive personality have to do with race? That is just who he is. When times were good and he was needed, people paid him heed. Now that he has no clout, no one gives a fuck what he has to say.

If, you want to be technical. Dame could be considered the Prototype as, it was him and his brother. Two Black Men. Russel was the dude that could move through the streets while Rick was the White Man that could sit in the board room. So, there is a huge distinction here.

Both are subjective!!! While someone says he's an asshole. Other may say he is straight to the point and says what's on his mind. More often then not it's the Black Man that get the negative instead of the positive. And if, you feel as, if the Hand that is feeding is, playing you or jerking you then, you do what you must and the let the chips fall where they may.

You're reaching now with that two black men nonsense, like Rick Rubin didn't have to fight just as hard as Russel for hiphop to get respect. They both fought the same fight!

What's your problem Home Girl? If, you cannot discuss this topic without the condescending attitude then step off. Dame has Millions so, your point of him being down are pretty nonsensical. Dame's abrasive personality has everything to do with why his personality is looked upon unfavorably. If, he were White he'd be Donald Trump.

U know what we are takin this debate to a place it shouldn't be going. This is about Dame not Successful Blackbusinessmen getting put down by white business men. This is about Dame who did great things with Rocafella but because of his asshole ways, the same route he used getting up bought his ass back down THATS WHAT THIS IS ABOUT!!!

Cut it out?!!!! When you are able to Send a white man to the table that's half the battle. That's why Russel hooked up with Rick in the first damn place. Wasn't no record label taking a Negro off the street peddling Hip Hop seriously.

That's your interpretation. My interpretation is, Dame was and is a successful Businessman and because CORP. AMERICA is dominated by whites his approach was\is labeled as being an Ass hole, Aggressive, Street which all carry negative connotations. If, he were White he'd be praised for this and have a reality show like Donald Trump.

i still say.....no matter what Jay-Z shouldve never shitted on Dame the way he did........

And its no way Dame shouldve shitted on Jay-Z the way he did......... i say this industry change people

I always felt that Dame would take a bullet for Jay....... Jay just seems way to soft for me......to believe he had any respect growing up

he just dont come off as a nigga with a mentality to be the big king pin drug dealer he always proclaimed to be....

SideNote: I always wondered.......Why is Bleek the only member who co-sign Jay being a big time Kingpin.....I never heard Dame say Jay was moving weight

I never heard Biggs.....co-sign Jay moving Bricks........ Biggie never once mentioned Jay-Z as street in no way form or fashion...... I mean Ty-Ty havent even came out

with a official co-sign sayin man that nigga bricks...........the only stories i heard about Jay-Z selling dope was Dehaven saying he was his worker....Klein said he was worker.............Then a nigga exposed him on the Mary J. Blige.......he got the hook, cuz Dame was beatin the pussy up........and Clark Kent got the Foxy feature..

Dont get me wrong Jay is mad talented........but for a nigga like me.....i can like Rick Ross and know he a fraud.....but Hova the God..... i thought this nigga was cut from the clothe i came from............such a let down......such a let down......

Sure he will be Donald Trump. Ok then. What you are saying is very laughable. There are plenty of black business men that don't need to scream and act like a spoiled two year old to be successful. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE. When everyone around you is calling you an asshole, then you must definitely have a problem. I guess you don't know Dash is having heavy financial troubles as we speak. I don't know what millions you are talking about.

Even though Dame is a successful black man, it wasn't corporate america that took him down. There are several black business owners not making stupid moves and their success run laps around Dames. LMAO!!!! its funny that u say this cuz Dame DID have a reality show and just in case u didn't know IT FLOPPED!!!

Back up for real? You don't know anyone. Let alone a Black Businessman like Dame who made his way through Hip Hop as an exec in the late 80's and Early 90's as a teenager. When everyone around you is, calling you an Asshole and recognizing that, you need to be, in order to make yourself and them MONEY.There is no problem!! I don't know what Money problems Dame is having. However, I do know it's nothing close to Money problems us regular working class folks might experience.

Got a question for u homie if you was a kingpin nigga would you want niggas speakin on you??? While i don't think Jay was a kingpin we can believe that Jay had money and thats what I saw Bleek say. Plus you never heard of anybody calling Jay a fake nigga also

I think these niggas be gettin mad at me for going in on Jay.......thats they Demi-God......

But all im doing is speaking truth.......i mean Jay-Z has no background before RD......

As i know just like several others know......Jay-Z style flipped over night like they say Wayne style did....

How u go from rapping like Bone Thugs to sounding like Biggie and Nas......

How u go from rhyming words to make them rhyme....to Kingpin status.....

Check out Jay-Z old shit......im talking about before RD......he never rapped about hustling......

He never rapped about fucking girls......he never rapped about gettin money......i had this arguement before

and i guess the dude i was debating with, he won because he said Jay-Z was battle rapper and battle rappers dont rap about those things....

I was like well u have a point.....but even when he was freestyling and not battling in those days.....his subject matter was never about street shit

it was always about how nice he is on the mic........im nice like this....im flow like that......riggity-rap-rip-ripping-and-rolling-rugged...that was Jay-Z style
