Quick question, is Rivers spot as the 5th best QB in the league justified?? He puts up great regular season numbers, but he doesn't win in the playoffs...They got Big Ben 6th and dude got two rings and he's clutch as shit.

Vick made history in the playoffs when he was younger than Freeman. Stop. And yes, the Falcons were even less talented than the 2010 Bucs that year -- and last time I checked the Bucs were watching the playoffs at home last year and the year before that. lol

[insert tired Packers playoff game tirade here.]

lol

Vick is my favorite QB in the league aside from Freeman. But as a Falcon, what wuz Vick's passer rating? How many times did he throw for over 3,000 yards? Did he have the ability to make plays in the pocket? I need answers. Better Pray Matty wins his 1st playoff game cuz if he dont then its a wrap. He'll be groupd into that "shook QBs" category.

i aint no fan of neither but Rivers is better than Big Ben and it aint close. Big Ben's job is not to Fuck up. Take Big Ben to chargers and theyl struggle to win 8 games. Rivers as steelers QB, we talkn SB trips every year. So what if Big Ben has 2 rings? Is he better than Marino too? Hell, the likes of Aikman and Bradshaw got multiple rings but they aint and never wil touch the Greatest pure passer the game ever see in DAN MARINO.

I don't see a 31 year old(romo) all of a sudden going to a whole new level that he hasn't shown yet. Freeman took massive steps, and I've always considered that from Year 1 to Year 2 to be crucial for quarterbacks.

Big Ben is better than Rivers. IDK nothing but my eyes to tell me that. Ben got them intangibles

And I honestly think Top 10s are stupid.

I think a tier-ranking system is MUCH more accurate and easier to agree on.

QB Tier Rankings:

Tier 1:

Brady, Manning

Tier 2:

Rodgers, Rivers, Brees

Tier 3:

Vick, Rothlisberger, Ryan

Tier 4:

Romo, E Manning, Schaub, Freeman, Flacco

Tier 5:

Cassel, Sanchez, Cutler

That's what I'd say.

I like that list, but I'd probably put Brees in that top tier. He always kinda flies under the radar for some reason, but he's been playing on a similar level to Peyton and Brady for a while. If we can put Rodgers on the second tier for essentially one good breakout season, then Brees can be on number 1 for doing that consistently for multiple seasons.

Good to see Josh Freeman getting his recognition, been saying he probably is the best young QB in the league and has the best leadership intangibles.

My rationale with tiers is...

If you had to pick someone for one game/season or whatever, everything else being equal, you would definitely pick the people in Tier 1 over Tier 2. Tier 2 over Tier 3. etc....

But everyone in the same tier are more or less interchangeable based on their effectiveness/skill.

So as far as the top tier, I'd definitely take Manning and Brady over everyone else, but can't choose between the two. I can't say I'd take Brees over either of them.

I don't know, Brees has been ballin for years with far inferior talent around him compared to Brady and Manning. And if everything else is equal.... I don't know. I don't think anyone throws a better deep ball than Brees.

Yeah, Brees belongs with them boys. Peyton has the best football IQ of all the QBs. Brady is the best pure leader. And to me, Brees has to best technical skills. Not too many people can throw as accurately and as deep as him and do it as consistently as he has over the years.

Your list is good if you switch Brady & ARod(Even though ARod is a fuckin monster..He has a chance this year to get that number 1 spot)...and Eli is better that Matt Ryan And Ben..

Ben is a product of a run heavy offense and a defense that has been great since his 1st season..He's a "game manager"..yea he'll extend plays on occassion but he's not as good as people make him out to be...That 1st super bowl win was the worst QB performance by any winning QB in super bowl history...He'e like right at 10 on my list.
