I lived in a neighborhood where atleast 10 burglaries happened in a month. All by black males, so i should've stayed up late and as soon as I saw a black male, follow and confront him, and if he tried to fight me for following and confronting him, then shoot his ass. Oh okay I got it now.

Ok I guess you forgot that they actually got into a fight before the shooting. You people are not using any logic. If Zimmerman had the intention of killing Teryvon he would have shot him multiple times without saying a word or risking a fight.Jus admit that you are wrong about this being a murder or a hate crime and let tit go already damn.Case closed.

when you refer to the person your are about to engage with a racial slur...its a hate crime.

if a group of white kids are beating up a gay person and they say faggot just once ...its a hate crime

also does it really matter with manslaughter or murder? the kid aint here and the white boy should be arrested...even if he was bailed out or let go later...at least arrest him.

and fukk this temporary stepdown of the police chief....if this kids temporarily dead? this is a blantant fukk you to all people of this city that wants justice....rather than be held responsible he rather step down for a while...so what now black people are supposed to be ok with that...shit makes me even madder. he is saying that we will evenually get tired and walk away from this and he will come back to work and continue to fukk up. niggas need to get fired...straight up

lol - so there's a mystery witness nobody ever heard of who all of a sudden just appears and corroborates the police story?

i wonder if the sandford p.d. is holding open casting calls right now.
A witness is still a witness without doing TV interviews yo; there may be others who only gave statements to the police.

The ABC story mentioned such witnesses about a week ago:

Trayvon Martin Neighborhood Watch Shooting: 911 Tapes Send Mom Crying From Room

To be honest this whole case was fucking botched by the police that if they ever do arrest this guy and bring him to trial his lawyer is going to have a lot of wiggle-room to get that shit thrown out.

The police never really had an interest in witnesses since they never intended to do an investigation or make an arrest.
I think Zimmerman initiated the fight, got his ass beat, and shot Treyvon. When the police got there; there was visible evidence that Zimmerman had just had his shit handed to him, and a witness(es) who confirmed they saw Zimmerman getting the beatdown. At this point, all Zimmerman--who police were familiar with and knew he was on the neighborhood watch--had to do was get the police to think that he was simply out performing his "duty" when attacked by Treyvon.

So with evidence of an ass beating, a witness to an ass beating, and nothing suggesting Zimmerman (who they were positively biased toward) was the aggressor at the time; they concluded that this fell under the "stand your ground" law.

You are right about every thing.Zimmerman should not have approached Treyvon, but this was not murder since he obviously had no intention of killing him,but it is manslaughter. So all of the idiots crying racism can shut the fuck up now.Zimmerman should be charged, but not for murder or any hate crime.

naw manslaughter is if u kill some one by accident or if ur intent wasnt to kill.... He followed the kid, initiated the physical confrontation and then shot him. thats not manslaughter. Thats murder.... If I did that to you they would lock my ass up and Id face 25 to life. All this devils advocated bullshit goes out the window once u listen to the tape. He assumed the black kid was a thief or some shit and he followed him after 911 operator told him not to. Shit aint hard to comprehend. In actuality Trevon was protecting himself from a crazed fool and ended up getting murdered.
2nd degree murder and voluntary manslaughter are both for cases in which there was no initial intent to kill. Normally, if this happened in a state without the "stand your ground" law, he'd be charged with either; probably depending on who was thought to have initiated the "fight". But since this happened in Florida, unless some new shit comes to light, I think the worst they could get him with is voluntary manslaughter.

He called him a coon in the call to 911, so there goes that theory

what is the consequence for voluntary manslaughter?

In Florida, up to 30 years:
Have you been accused of manslaughter in Tampa, Sarasota or the surrounding areas? If you have, you may face up to 15 years in a Florida state prison or worse. Some forms of manslaughter may be charged as a 1st degree felony, with the maximum penalty of a state prison sentence of up to 30 years.

for me this is not about zimmermann or the police chief, i think the problem is much bigger.

the state is reigidly prosecuting discrimination in the corporate world and implementing laws to help victims at the same time the same state actively discriminates blacks through its police force as well as in the judicial system as a whole.

this is where something has to happen and not solely in some florida police office.

where are the compensations for victims of police harrasment or discrimination in the courtroom? where are the laws that protect blacks from this discrimination that we all very aware of?

Witness: Martin attacked Zimmerman

ORLANDO - A witness we haven't heard from before paints a much different picture than we've seen so far of what happened the night 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was shot and killed.

The night of that shooting, police say there was a witness who saw it all.

Our sister station, FOX 35 in Orlando, has spoken to that witness.

What Sanford Police investigators have in the folder, they put together on the killing of Trayvon Martin few know about.

The file now sits in the hands of the state attorney. Now that file is just weeks away from being opened to a grand jury.

It shows more now about why police believed that night that George Zimmerman shouldn't have gone to jail.

Zimmerman called 911 and told dispatchers he was following a teen. The dispatcher told Zimmerman not to.

And from that moment to the shooting, details are few.

But one man's testimony could be key for the police.

"The guy on the bottom who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: 'help, help…and I told him to stop and I was calling 911," he said.

Trayvon Martin was in a hoodie; Zimmerman was in red.

The witness only wanted to be identified as "John," and didn't not want to be shown on camera.

His statements to police were instrumental, because police backed up Zimmerman's claims, saying those screams on the 911 call are those of Zimmerman.

"When I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point," John said.

Zimmerman says the shooting was self defense. According to information released on the Sanford city website, Zimmerman said he was going back to his SUV when he was attacked by the teen.

Sanford police say Zimmerman was bloody in his face and head, and the back of his shirt was wet and had grass stains, indicating a struggle took place before the shooting.

attacking and fighting are 2 different things though. all i know is that zimmermann was armend and followed that unnarmed 17 y/o boy, no one knows who attacked who. and last time i checked he shot him 2 times with a pause for reflection in between - the second shot makes this a homicide if nothing else

moreover it’s hard to imagine a scenario in which a man with a gun would be screaming for help and Zimmerman outweighed this CHILD by over 100lbs

by the way the source of the article the user infamous114 quoted is no one else but FOX NEWS
