His job was actually revealed in season 1. He ran the local Boys and Girls club he had Martin play Santa Claus for, I've seen Martin way too many times and can quote the series verbatim lol...RIP Tommy Ford.

Yea he went for knee surgery and he unexpectedly had a stomach aneurism..

Theres an aorta that goes from the heart all the way down to your waist... then splits in 2 where it supplies the legs their blood flow.

Stomach aneurism just tells u what location of the aorta has herniated out or ruptured.
