Also it seems little straight A's and B's student, when not selling drugs spent all his time skipping school according to his friend.
So time to pop every kid who skips class w/ a slug in the chest, huh?
And even if Trayvon was the one on top pummeling Zimmerman...
wouldn't Trayvon be the one standing his ground acting in self-defense? I mean he was followed quite a ways by Zimmerman; that fact is indisputable.
Valiant reach though, bro.
Yeah, nobody is saying anything about Trayvon's right to stand his ground. He was being pursued by a fucking stranger for no reason.
I think when fatty was screaming help for a prolonged period of time and he didn't stop, he gave up his right to self defense or stand his ground. Zimmerman was already subdued at this point. Trayvon was out for blood because it made him feel good at this point. So, given that, at that time Zimmerman was within his right to stop the assault. What is he supposed sit there while the kid pounds his head into mush? Don't be insane.
I hear you....and although speculation at this point, if true this is touchy.
In trying to be objective, this is truly a lose lose situation. What are you supposed to do if you are being pursued by a stranger bigger than you? Stand your own ground or swallow your pride and punk out...? and if you punked out, you'd have no idea what your outcome in this situation would be (kidnapped, beat, shot, stabbed?) as you gave you control of your fate. What you would tell your kid or brother or nephew to do?
Many people try to de-humanize the situation and use clear and concise logic but it don't flow like that in the real world in the heat of situations. Personally, I'll be damned if I'm going to explain myself to some stranger who is trying to check me on my existence and why I am doing what I am doing at the time, especially if all I'm doing is going about my business. You don't owe anybody that and the guy was not police. Meaning if "some guy" is running up on me like "what are you doing here?" "who are you?", I'm gonna be like "the f*** is your problem...who the f*** are you?" and that situation is bound to escalate. I truly think that is what happened in this case.
If you stand your ground, stand up for yourself. Are you supposed to all of a sudden be the better clear thinking individual once you know you have the advantage? If you've ever been in a 1 on 1 fight with some one who
is not one of your homeboys
with no crowd around you know that ain't no f****n way you are gonna let the other guy up just because he is losing......especially someone bigger than you. As if there is gonna be some true "oh okay, you won...I'll walk away moment" because you are far more than likely to get sucker punched and be the one on the ground getting pay back. And if Trayvon got up and RAN AWAY, it would have resulted in a "scary voilent nigga going to jail for assault" charge. So if this situation is true, I just don't see anyway out of a situation like this other than knocking a dude immobile. It's not like there was a crowd to break it up.
Again, if all is true, I'm sure if Zimmerman was beating Trayvon down, he would had totally subdued him
by any means necessary including pulling that gun until the cops came to play hero (or worse) but since that plan ain't work, he saved his own ass
by any means necessary in pulling that gun and firing it.
Bottom line...if all is true...
Guy A had it in for Guy B. Guy A pursues Guy B. Guy B beats Guy A's ass. Guy A gets scared and pulls a weapon and shoots Guy B. Zimmerman thought he'd have the advantage but ran into a "oh shit, shit just got real moment" and had to bail out. His main issue is that he created the situation out of his own suspicions....but then again FL law says it's okay to do that.
I guess there are no stalking by menacing laws in FL............?
Say what you will, but based on what I see, Trayvon couldn't have been all that of a real "bad" dude (meaning a real street g-code type young dude). This guy is getting followed and calls his girl....he didn't call his girl to say "bring the thumper" he said "Imma walk fast.." He admitted his fear about another dude to this girl.....who the f*** does that? He ain't call his homeboy to mob up. He wasn't strapped and didn't even have a knife. I think he ultimately came to a conclusion that he wasn't gonna run, stood his ground, and got killed for it.
It's gonna sound totally fucked up to say this, but it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. Meaning if Trayvon was strapped and shot Zimmerman, it would have compounded a stereotype, but at least he would have still been alive.
