What threadstarter doesn't realize is that almost all albums sell like 85% of their sales in the first year of release.

Relapse is selling what...8,000 a week right now, and falling? (went down 19% in sales from last week). While Carter III is still selling 5,000 a week. Relapse won't even hit 2,500,000 in sales, let alone catch up to Carter III.

So in 10 month's Relapse is at 2 Million and you think it won't sell around 5 Million in a few years from now?

No? Why would it? Even if it sold 10,000 a week for the next 3 years it would only be at like 3.3 million....but it's already doing 8k a week,...and less...and less...and less...

but the carter 3 was not even the highest selling rap album of 2008. Kanye's graduation album despite coming out in 2007 sold more albums in 08 than the cater 3. Though i thought tha carter 3 was better than graduation that's what the numbers say. source (1:30 mark)

Carter 3 was the 3rd highest selling album of 2008 period, and the top selling rap album of 2008. But either way, it still sold way more than Relapse.

Carter 3 was released in July 2008 and 20 month's later right now it is at 3 Million sold in America

Relapse was released in May 2009 and 10 month's later is currently at 2 MIllion in America

So do the math lil dude imagine how much relapse will be at in 10 month's from now

Uhh...Carter 3 sold 2,800,000 in 6 months compared to Relapse's 1,884,000 in 10 months....and 20 months after it's release Carter 3 is at 3,391,329 total and still on the charts.

YOU do the math.

lmao, very simple concept. You can't just average out the number sold over a period of 20 months and expect it to average out per months. are u really that dumb?
