Sucks being you.....

Every conscious black man I know was bumpin "Untitled' like that shit was Illmatic.

nas is the greatest example of a thug-poet turned conscious-Afrikan and those within the community can appreciate that because the majority of our artists become more "suburban" as they gain more popularity and appeal. (jayZ, Ludacris etc. etc.)

Nas should be applauded for crafting lyrics that provoke thought and insight on the intricate matters of hood politics beyond drugs and guns. Artistic growth in the direction of activism usually is celebrated if its Lennon or Bono but Nas gets no love.....

C/S 100%. I think the thread starter forgot about the lost tapes cd too, even though it wasn't an official album. It was a classic none the less.

last album i bought was SD and i hated most of it, well the production anyways. I like some joints off HHID and Untitled but the production is just so damn bland, dude needs someoen to A and R his albums.

Please dont say emenim has SOUL in his music.

Tupac can write a rhyme in 5 min's rhyming the same 3 syllable words and people will say they FEEL his music.....thats SOUL.

People dont feel emenims music, they are impressed by his wordplay, humor and vocabulary...

Not on any corny shit but I fell where Em's coming from. Not on the money issue cause I grew blessed with parents that made good money but on a lot of his other shit I relate to a lot. Drugs and trouble at school and shit, typical teenage shit.

Nuff Said. Personally I have been enjoying his music more than ever. You gotta appreciate realness and real life. Others talking about a lot of irrelevant subjects and Nas speaks about real life.

God Son - One of Nas's most personal albums.

Steet Disciple - IMO wasn't all that but showed a lot of creativity.

HHID - Spoke on the state of HH, past, present and future.

Untitled - In the times of a Black Pres, tackled the subject of the ******, FoX news, blacks diet(fried chicken)

Distant Relatives - Turn on ur TV.

This is real life while others is telling you about the Haters they have and the new whip they copped.

This nas dick riding and bashing is out of control and not even funny anymore. What happened to cats making there damn point without slammin someone else.

The real question should be what the fuck happened to the reason?

What didn't you enjoy and don't say the beats because that shit is played u want dre go listen to em u timbaland kanye go listen to jay u want justice league go fuck with Ross nas don't even fuck with big name producers like that so his sound is going to be different.

Plus who ever listened to Nas because of his fucking beat selection?
