I hope Eminem sticks to the Recovery format, cuz I truly believe he dropped the best album I've heard since American Gangster.

Recovery is a masterpiece, easily the best album of the year.....and it's a classic for sure. I love the emotion and topics he had on the album, only Jay-Z dropped a better album these past 3 years.

Ok i do think it's a classic cos i play it from start to finish with out skipping a track and it has more replay value then most Album's i heard

But i think in future he will lose the Slim Shady alter ego we won't even get the comedy Singles like My Name Is anymore cos Not Afraid was so succesful but i think once he stop's with the Slim Shady persona people will start saying they miss that and wish he would bring back Slim Shady

Honestly I didn't think Recovery was that dope of an album...maybe I need to listen again but only a couple songs caught my attention...

Recoovery is now my 2nd favorite em album of all time, behind the marshall mathers lp.

Only one "bad" song, WTp and that's not really a bad song, just one of those one time listens.

Another Eminem thread brought to you by ShadyTeam.....

......bitch, the fuck do you do all day? Strictly listen to Eminem and fuck you self with a dildo wrapped in Eminem c.d covers and posters? Shiiiiiiit.

On Topic: I don't care what format he uses, aslong as it doesn't turn out like Encore I'm good....

Personally, if I could dictate which kind of album he would re-created again, it would be Marshall Mathers LP, even though my favorite Em c.d is The Eminem Show...(work that out).

Recovery? *shrugs*, it's ok....I don't even listen to it anymore except Space Bound, No Love, Love The Way You Lie and and and and something else.....

I'd probably take Relapse over Recovery.....no lie.

Em brought it lyrically on Recovery

Some of the beats were....eh.

Wasn't really feeling quite a few of the hooks.

And maybe it's just me, but I was getting a little tired of him juxtaposing literal meanings with idioms. It became pretty repetitive.

But as a whole, I really really enjoyed that album. I wouldn't say there's no shock content though. There wasn't as much as in previous albums, but he had a few Michael J. Fox and Elton John lines.

Recovery a dope album. It's right behind TES and the MMLP for me. I thought Em went in on Recovery. I'm happy with how it turned out... So that's all that matters to me.

But i like the fact the whole Album from start to finish had deep Song's with the emotion and Lyrics about real life topics people expect from Eminem rather than entertainment value cos i think Eminem's Music is so powerful where he affects people with his Music who go through things he covers like growing up poor, being a parent, relationship's and drug addiction

I think people skim through Eminem's Music alot and by just skimming through his Music they think he makes Song after Song about hating his momma

But the reality is Eminem has only ever made one Song about his mother and that was Cleaning Out My Closet

I think people have to listen to Album's from start to finish before making assumptions

i know im not the only one who believes this but... i know drugs are bad for you and all, but he was better when he was fucked up, period lol

there's NO way you could have said this after calling Jay-Z one dimensional. the hypocrisy.

even though he only focuses on his mom on one song, he definitely name dropped her a lot through the early part of his career.

as for the drug addiction, he just recently started rapping about that.

i agree that Em is dope and covers a variety of topics, but I don't agree with how you pick and choose who you consider to be a quality artist based solely on your pereferences. I didn't like Talib Kweli for a long time, but I could acknowledge that he's a lyricist. I don't like Z-Ro, but I can see why people enjoy his stuff. He's got talent.

I dunno Shadyteam. You're...interesting.

He had like 4 songs on the 8 Mile soundtrack (and one of them he had to be censored on) so I don't know how you are including that, but I like both of his styles. I do like the personal stuff a lot more simply because he is always more compelling when he has something to say.

I honestly have listened to Jay Z's Album's and his content for the most part been about hustling drug's and materalism but with Eminem he will make records based on his life it could be records about growing up poor, being a father, his wife, drug addiction or his family but i think he is a Lyricist cos he makes Song's that connect with his listeners but in a very Lyrical way and he can Sing which gives him emotion too i think emotion is a huge factor in why Eminem connects with millions of people

I'm not saying Eminem never named dropped his mother before he made Cleaning Out My Closet but name dropping is not like making a full Song about his mother

You can't call me a hypocrite cos people on this board who don't like Eminem say all he talks about is hating his mother but the reality is Cleaning Out My Closet was his first Song about his mother and on that Song he didn't simply say he hates her he Lyrically explained why she was a bad mother and told his listeners about his child hood

These people who say Eminem makes these type of records haven't listened to his Album's

to me...theres PLENTY of bad songs.

space bound? c'mon...are we even HEARING the same song? wont back down? cinderella man? 25 to life? almost famous? so bad? even On fire sounded lazy. the track that havoc produced was the definition of extra

theres highs in the verses, but overall, the songs are still ehh.

I'm sorry but a few of those songs you mentioned IMO arent bad. To me, he stepped out of his element and made an album like you said "didnt feel like an Eminem album" and to an extent thats what people wanted to hear. He brought something new, he adapted with the times and experimented and it came out pretty good.
