Niggas be acting like this the best show on tv when it ain't even close...the plot line been the same for 3 seasons

Power shifts, it's always somebody higher, somebody moving up(Marlo)

You need a new star, you create one. They don't even take a break from the day to day fuck shit with the main people, they've ran the stories into the ground

It might as well be called "The adventures of Ghost." All of the supporting cast revolve around him. There's not a portion of the show that doesn't involve him directly or indirectly. The Wire isn't a good comparison. Avon Barksdale wasn't the face of that show. Killing off Ghost would be like killing off Tony Soprano in the 3rd season.

I didn't say he had to die now. Do it at the end of next season while following somebody else story throughout the season

Either let him out or kill him but the story ain't progressing

If I can't develop new favorite characters on my tv show, what that say about my writing

I never watched scandal but I feel like this is probably the equivalent this season

I can see that happening but it's not necessary so I doubt it does. Replacing him, only to have someone else do the same thing, won't progress the story either.

I'm guessing Lala is dead or left town after being threatened.. but neither Ghost or Tommy is getting killed any time soon, Power just got picked up for two more seasons. Ghost might catch slugs in the finale tho

I really think she dead but I thought this episode would reveal Lala's fate. All we got was Tasha calling her phone and it going straight to voicemail. I think Milan probably sent Tommy to her business to put a cap in her as a message to Tasha and Ghost. Then again it could be a part of the plan that Tommy got going against Milan. He probably told Lala to give him the bag of money and skip town or told her to take the money and her kid then get out of town. Tommy is crazy so I wouldn't put it past him.

Ghost is eventually gone get popped and with 2 more season of Power left I can see it happening because Ghost is doing a lot of dumb shit and he's a manipulator.

Milan is the target as Ghost's main villain right now so the focus is on him. Kanan even said himself he going to fall back. Don't know why folks expecting more from him at the moment.

That's what I'm saying though: good storytelling would be showing him amassing Power. Like everyone else is saying, him lying in the cut is not intimidating past a point. OK, showing up and threatening the baby is cool. Staying solo out here like some kind of supernatural boogeyman is bogus. They don't even have to do long-ass montages or Game of Thrones shit like with Danaerys where they show you painstaking detail and every step along the way. He could have dudes in the background of the scenes and do little camera flashes to show they're with him. To just have him sitting there eating a hotdog and seasoned fries like he's King of the World dismissing a peon is ludicrous. Reminds me of Godfather where Don Corleone realized Don Fanucci worked solo and offed his ass at his apartment door. Kanan is Fanucci at this point without indicators that he's amassing soldiers to his cause.

Fanucci took a low ball offer instead of the full $6 or $700 he demanded from Vito and his crew, 2. he spared the kids who cut him up or one of them for some cheap shit when a real boss would've had them offed for the disrespect, 3. he was always extorting people who didn't know any better or anything about how real bosses operated. It wasn't "he was alone and got caught lacking." Read up. Vito was a goddamned genius at reading people. He basically outlined how Michael would be betrayed and how to get back at his enemies AFTER he was gone based on actions they hadn't even made.

Like I said before, the Kanan stuff could be slow build. It's not cramming all that shit into anything If they did simple shit like show him with more people every time they showed him. They are under utilizing his scenes. If Dre showed up and Kanan had four dudes with him with ice grills on, we don't need to know who they are or where they came from; the audience just knows Kanan has hitters now. The exchange with Dre still happens. Nothing is lost but a lot is gained.

They are obligated by good storytelling principles to increase his threat beyond, "Kanan sitting at bar eating hotdog and seasoned fries telling him he has no moves." Stop it. Dre is continental killer dispatched to kill another killer. Now, some Tom Ford shoes erases that threat. No real street nigga gonna talk to a killer like that and think it's sweet or flexing some muscle. Kanan treating dude like he's a high school soccer coach and won't pop steel.

If he kept popping up on Dre like Omar, OK. Cool. That's scary as fuck because you don't know where he's coming from, but the minute he's sitting around eating hotdogs with no protection besides a mean mug, the writing is fucking up--and no amount of "wait for it" can cover that up.
