@5 Grand please review the previous song that was posted.

If you're talking about Qawshun's track, Love, I listened to it a few times last night and this morning with the volume low, but now its a little bit later in the day so I can crank the volume.

The first thing that struck me is that it starts immediately. I hate songs that have a slow build up and take a full minute to start, by the time the song starts you've lost interest. So thats a plus.

I like the sampling, I can't tell if its a bunch of samples thrown together from different records or if its all from the same record. I like the all around vibe, compared to most of the stuff that gets posted on the IC, this song is a breath of fresh air. Also, it has a decent amount of bass but not too much. The song has melody and harmony whereas a lot of songs nowadays rely on deep 808 bass and not much else.

I like the lyrics, although realistically I don't think this song would appeal to the masses because its too deep. There's too much substance. It would make a good album cut though.

I'd be interested in hearing what else Qawshun has to offer.

Well damn lol thanks for the feed back. I have plenty more coming but they gotta get cleaned up, the studio i went to was robbed the day after i had my session. I might have to free record 8 songs

This my nephew Eric King's new video. Not my cup of tea but some of yall might like it. Let me know what yall think.

Alright I'll give this song/video a review;

It sounds professional, sonically. The lyrics are cool but not outstanding. I wouldn't give either one of those guys the lyric of the month award. The video is kinda low budget, but not any worse than that Dej Loaf video that blew up.

While there's nothing wrong with it, there's nothing unique about it to make it stand out from anything else thats out nowadays. It sounds like modern day rap.

The hook is kinda catchy ("and thats on eerrthing"). I guess with the right marketing and promotion this song could be hot but I don't think it will stand the test of time.

Having said that, I'd still be interested to hear what else they have to offer.

from the ones i clicked on they sounded dated and its like u had the same hi hat and bass drum pattern in everyone i clicked on. the hats seem like they're over the beat instead of blending in, and the bass drum is too soft for my taste. also its like u had a 2 bar melody looped over and over, id put maybe a bit more chord progressions in there or more melodic twists.

Appreciate that fam. Ill try and find more of his music. I agree with everything you said. It does sound like everything else out right now but it could be a hit. Nothing worse than what some others are doing. I don't like it myself but he's family so imma support and get his name out there any way I can.

OK, here's my review of Quiet Boy Millz - The Plan.

The song has a lot of bass. I guess that's what people are into nowadays. I don't know if its intentional or not but the beat has the same melody as Mass Appeal by Gang Starr.

The beat sounds professional but the rapper doesn't. The rapper doesn't have any authority in his voice. He sounds kinda soft. He needs to re-do the vocals. He needs to scream on the mic to get his point across. Put some bass in his voice. I don't believe a word he says.

There's potential though.

What else does he have?

Alright check me out, here's a beat I just wrapped up the other day. So how yall feeling?

Hee's my review for Gem Musik - Rick Ross Type Beat

First of all, name it something else. Calling "Rick Ross Type Of beat" is wack. Even if it does sound like something Rick Ross would rap over, don't call it that.

The beat itself is nice and mellow. Its not too trendy, not on the bandwagon. It sounds somewhat complex. There's more than one thing going on at a time.

I like how the beat changes from the main part of the beat where the verses should be and then changes to where the chorus would obviously go..

Its a nice track.

Appreciate the feedback man, that smooth sound is kinda my trademark. And about the title, the name of the beat is 'Gem Muzik', I just added "Rick Ross type beat" to the title because artists looking for beats on youtube typically search like this. People, especially on the underground level often look for the sound of a particular artist when deciding what type of beat they want. It definitely makes a difference.

You got very good ideas on this beat. The drums are very good, this is the best part of this beat. The piano melody is cool too. The negative point is about your mix, it sounds not very united / it's too much scattered do you know what I mean? You need to put some instruments on the front of the mix and the rest will be naturally behind. But musically, it's good. Good work bro. ;)

Here is my last beat. It's a minimalist beat for a singer / rapper:
