Time will tell what's to become of it. The company was in dire straights before Jay stepped in, that's why he got it for the price he got it at. If Hov NEVER attached his name to it nobody would even know wtf Tidal/Aspiro was and NO ONE would have known of it's issues, the financial results for the prior years are there for everyone to see - yet MOST niggas are not going to look at them. This is the media just catching on to it. Give it time, most people have perception but lack perspective to critically analyze things, that's why they can't see things past a week or month and why Hov is where he is and you're where you are. We don't know what will become of Tidal in the longterm but obviously they have a large fanbase in Europe and have been doing something right. I'm not caping for Jay or any of them, simply saying to GIVE IT TIME before you idiots jump to conclusions. You niggas claim to have a crystal ball but no one can tell me what their operating results before deductions and taxes were 5 or 6 years prior, BUT feel they have all the answers Sway SMMFH.
I'm sure once Jay & Beyonce drop their duet album exclusively on there they'll dispel all worries and generate the interest needed. Jay doesn't really attach himself to losers or losses like that so let's see what becomes of this.
lololol poor sion first he says give Tidal time then thinks a Hov Beyonce Album will magically turn it around.
An exclusive collab album by 2 past prime artists is not going to generate enough to save this service. The reason its getting so much negative press is because rich artist like hov bey and chris martin pretty much were asking for charity. Any hardcore jay or bey dickrider already signed up for tidal. People not gunna commit netflix money just to listen to a washed up jey bey money. Another stadium tour yes that would sell out real quick but not a streaming service.
*sighs* SMMFH my last post and I'm out, I'm only reciting what I already said pages ago SMMFH
This is a company with over a hundred employees and over a quarter billion in revenue, it is going to take time to turn that business around. With the money and resources Jay-Z has I'm sure they will do fine. In 1 year time you niggas will be praising Jay-Z in Forbes for his brilliance and forget this thread ever existed. He'll likely reach a networth in excess of a billion dollars individually within the next 4 years.
Jay's an interesting one because most of the people he competes with like I said *sighs* can't think past a week or a month at best, Jay plans aalll the way to the end years out. Look at Dame, look Rocawear, look at Nas, look at where he's at today. Before I cast judgement I'll rather wait and see what happens first before you come out looking like a fool or on the wrong side of the coin.
But bruh what are you even talkin about man lls You sayin the same cliche 'give it the ol college try' shyt u was saying re: Dame n Kanye buyin Karma Loop, before u had to admit u knew nothing of the ACTUAL business or the industry
I mean im sure nggas appreciate all the black business pep talks but if we gon talk business, lets talk BUSINESS: Ya know, marketing, product, strategy, price, demand, etc.
Some sheep nggas will go the Dame route and give you Goats bc it SOUNDS good---i forgive em, they dont know any better--but for those with a lil sense on the matter you gon have to do better than 'it takes time'
