This is all real funny becuz I remember all this same response from a lot of ppl when beats music first dropped....no free with ads support, late to the party, wasn't gonna be able to compete with Spotify, etc now fast forward just one year and ppl talking bout beats music and how tidal can't compete with them like there's this difference all of a sudden....crazy how one year can change ppl perspective on something if even the time isn't it lol

if tidal came out a year ago or 2 years ago it would be different. they are in a flooded market and don't have strong arguments to why the average music listener should switch over. its like if Madonna came out with a site like ebay right now and poured money and famous people into it. The time for e-commerce sites like ebay has already passed unless you are doing something totally revolutionary with e commerce. Tidal is not the facebook to ether myspace.

The issue with tidal is they are even later than beats music and google play and they aren't changing the stream game as we know it. Oh cool story bruh a few stream contests and FLAC quality streaming. The average fan doesn't care about HD music. They will fix certain things and learn from mistakes but the market is too big now.

The market was flooded a year ago.... That was one of the cases ppl made against beats music...also they had no free with ads support again another similarity... Now a year later and beats music ain't even been relaunched and ppl are saying tidal won't be able to compete.... I just find it funny how the narrative changes depending on who we talking bout but its expected so I'm good with it....I just need more then 2 weeks becuz if we just went off of the first 2 weeks of services then we wouldn't having streaming services at all

But beats music didn't have the fan and user backlash Tidal has. Its not just because of Jay but the false sense of hope Tidal brought out with the teal out and all these stars jumping in only to say "hey were rich and we want to get paid more". That is a huge negative against tidal was the build up to nothing. It may stop them from ever succeeding as people tend to hate the idea of only the rich getting richer. Like it or not that was how tidal was perceived. I mean the youtube promo has more dislikes than likes. In this day and age its hard to even draw that much hate on youtube or any media. Tidal fucked up point blank and its slim they will recover.

why are niggaz praying for another black man's downfall on here ?

businesses rise and fall , you just re up elsewhere

Man Jayz is good. Could care less about that angle, he already won forever in business. Thats my mans nh lol

The annoyance is we cant even get nggas to acknowledge the business FAILING being a possibilty

Then you got nggas like @sion keep doubling down, whats next, 'look guys just bc a business loses 200 million in a week doesnt MEAN..."

Just stop. The same things nggas was bringin up about Tidal that didnt make sense to us the consumer (what exactly does it bring to the table, why all the hype) now looks like its why they struggling

We (I) was right! Just admit it

Nobody saying it can't fail.... Niggas like you saying it's ALREADY failed after 2 damn weeks....That's where the problem lies...I mean what were y'all expecting in 2 weeks for them to gain 3 million ppl be #1 in the app store everyday and put all other streaming services outta business all in a matter of 2 weeks??? That's the real annoyance

Lol an exclusive beyonce and jay album yeah that will save tidal lololol.
http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/...nt-album-to-be-released-on-tidal-dj-skee-says

DJ Skee says Jay Z and Beyonce joint album is "nearing completion" and "will be released exclusively on Tidal."

DJ Skee announced today (April 22) that Jay Z and Beyonce's new album will be released on Tidal.

On today's episode of SKEE TV, he encouraged people to take the "Red Pill" and buy into paid streaming services.

"The music business is at war again, this time with itself," he said. "The general consensus, is that streaming is the future."

Later in the video, he discussed Jay Z and Beyonce's forthcoming album.

"I first reported last year that Jay Z and Beyonce were working on a joint album, which by the way is finally nearing completion, and my sources are saying it will be released exclusively on Tidal," DJ Skee says.

LMAO.....

Like I said -_-* let time tell the story.... It's annoying to have to repeat what I said a few pages back about risk and business SMMFH.

Time will tell what's to become of it. The company was in dire straights before Jay stepped in, that's why he got it for the price he got it at. If Hov NEVER attached his name to it nobody would even know wtf Tidal/Aspiro was and NO ONE would have known of it's issues, the financial results for the prior years are there for everyone to see - yet MOST niggas are not going to look at them. This is the media just catching on to it. Give it time, most people have perception but lack perspective to critically analyze things, that's why they can't see things past a week or month and why Hov is where he is and you're where you are. We don't know what will become of Tidal in the longterm but obviously they have a large fanbase in Europe and have been doing something right. I'm not caping for Jay or any of them, simply saying to GIVE IT TIME before you idiots jump to conclusions. You niggas claim to have a crystal ball but no one can tell me what their operating results before deductions and taxes were 5 or 6 years prior, BUT feel they have all the answers Sway SMMFH.

I'm sure once Jay & Beyonce drop their duet album exclusively on there they'll dispel all worries and generate the interest needed. Jay doesn't really attach himself to losers or losses like that so let's see what becomes of this.

lololol poor sion first he says give Tidal time then thinks a Hov Beyonce Album will magically turn it around.

An exclusive collab album by 2 past prime artists is not going to generate enough to save this service. The reason its getting so much negative press is because rich artist like hov bey and chris martin pretty much were asking for charity. Any hardcore jay or bey dickrider already signed up for tidal. People not gunna commit netflix money just to listen to a washed up jey bey money. Another stadium tour yes that would sell out real quick but not a streaming service.

"I think they totally blew it by bringing out a bunch of millionaires and billionaires and propping them up onstage and then having them all complain about not being paid," Death Cab for Cutie singer Ben Gibbard said in a recent interview with The Daily Beast. "That’s why this thing is going to fail miserably."

Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard says Jay Z's approach with Tidal was all wrong.

Instead, Gibbard says Jay Z should have taken a different approach.

"If I had been Jay Z, I would have brought out ten artists that were underground or independent and said, 'These are the people who are struggling to make a living in today’s music industry. Whereas this competitor streaming site pays this person 15 cents for X amount of streams, that same amount of streams on my site, on Tidal, will pay that artist this much.'"

Gibbard continued: "There was a wonderful opportunity squandered to highlight what this service would mean for artists who are struggling and to make a plea to people’s hearts and pocketbooks to pay a little more for this service that was going to pay these artists a more reasonable streaming rate. And they didn’t do it."

It's sad how black people are. Pure ignorance and insecurity.

Sitting around wanting and hoping for a black person they don't even know to fail.

When spotify launched was anybody sitting around wishing for it's destruction that had no hand in the finances? Doubt it.

But Jay-Z buys a streaming service and here come the haters after just weeks.

Jay-Z has reached a level of success where just seeing him make more moves makes broke Niggas sick.

It's almost like Niggas Feel he has too much. Bad wife. Music career. Sports agency. Clubs. Always on a yacht in Italy or some shot and Niggas just wanna see him fail...Just once. And it will make them feel better about Thier shit lives.

niggas sound like old white dudes caping for inferior 4 year college basketball players. "Give it 4 years and you will really see the improvement and maturity". Lol no these dudes suck i would rather watch a one and done. Same thing with tidal "jay took over a bad company hes trying to rescue it". So jay and the new team ain't just botch the launch and idea behind tidal by asking fans to help only rich millionaire artists? Lol its over.

First off a lot of the people on this site aint black. It could even be majority nonblack who come here to hate on rappers judging by a lot of what is on this site. Anybody can come to this site and a lot of em aint black. So no reason to assume posters are black cause many of them aint. I know i aint hopin for this venture to fail or nothin actually its good to hear about moves bein made i dont fck with that negative energy.
