Lol this shit will never end.

I don't pay for a streaming service I still buy my music CDs or vinyls but I understand why people do I just don't get the uproar over this.

Yea that's why I just gave up on it.... This is all about jay for ppl becuz had this service been introduced with some no name ppl in suits this shit would have came without a peep but throw jay bey ye nicki rih etc names to it and ppl ready to tear all of music streaming down with the release of one service... This is more about how ppl feel about the artist then it is how they feel about the service so if you don't like jay common sense says you not gonna like this so its pointless

No, it's the reason you caping for it. If there was a 17 page thread about Spotify I would say how stupid it is too.

Says a weezy cape wearer??? Gtfoh my nigga and go play in sum tuffle butter this ain't got nothing to do with jay for me I just support streaming music and have never heard about it being a problem till now...

So were you paying money for Spotify before? Yes or No??

i swear you're a fucking faggot.

you see what the fuck you wanna see.

i never mentioned people not wanting jay-z to shine

i never mentioned keeping the black man down

i never argued that the lossless quality of tidal is better than Beats Music or that i like beats music better because of the audio quality.

i never mentioned being a fan of this service.

i never defended this shit because its "for the artist".

actually the majority of not all the people defending tidal in this thread are not financially supporting tidal. They are free trial and peace out. niggas just outraged that we are outraged at what tidal is trying to sale.

they like: no im not paying for tidal but how dare you speak so harshly of a product without equally dissing every other music service!

'Oh so 1 audio engineer cant hear the difference that mean i dont love Tidal!?' This shyt has gone to the abyss lls Weird stuff man.

Was just thinking...what about battery life? Not just Tidal, but streaming in general.

Maybe im the only one cant go 2 feet without needing to charge my smartphone...or that im the only one who listens to music on the go

Inb4 'step ya phone game up, ngga!'.

I just cant stop man, these points I and others are bringing up make too much sense and the rebuttals are so obviously on some 'if its a lie, we FIGHT ON THAT LIE'. I've never seen no shyt like this

Nigga said battery life...its 2015 and this nigga still ain't got a smartphone I'm done you just reaching for the stars now but ok my nigga we get yo point...and it was a great point that battery life becuz lord knows in 2015 phone batteries arent built to handle things like streaming..... You probably still check yo MySpace account huh??? Weird stuff is right bruh I've never seen no shyt like this either lol

So you gonna act like he didn't contradict himself, and i didn't point that out?

When acclaimed music industry analyst and critic Bob Lefsetz talks, people in the industry listen. Lefsetz has a long history that includes consulting for major labels for years, and his opinions are widely respected. He also has a knack for spotting trends and making early calls, which is why his newsletter is so valuable to industry watchers.

Lefsetz’s newsletters aren’t always about finding the next big stars, however. He also often sets his sights on artists, trends and products that are on their way out or even dead on arrival. And in Tuesday morning’s “Lefsetz Letter,” the critic took aim at Jay-Z’s newly relaunched streaming music service Tidal.

DON’T MISS: Samsung Galaxy S6 review

“Now let me get this straight…piracy can be eradicated if artists just band together in the name of money?” Lefsetz asked in his email newsletter on Tuesday morning. “That’s what this is all about, cash. For the misguided artists who believe this is their financial savior but primarily for Jay Z, who’s using OPM (other people’s money) to have a big score.”

He continued, “But it don’t really happen that way at all.”

Lefsetz goes on to explain what it takes to succeed in the streaming music market, describing how the major players got where they are now. Common ingredients that Tidal is lacking include experience, business knowhow specific to this area of the industry, and very deep pockets.

The analyst also believes the lack of a free streaming option is a deal-breaker for Tidal. Why? Because people “love their money more than their favorite artists, never forget it,” as Lefsetz noted.

Is there any way around that barrier? Not really, according to the letter.

“Sure, if you loaded Tidal with exclusive content it would be attractive,” Lefsetz wrote. “But the iTunes Store wouldn’t promote your new release. And that’s where your money is today, and we’ve already established you’ve got a short term vision. And what about future artists? How do they get a share of the pie?”

He went on, “And let’s say a new Hozier comes along, and Spotify outbids you, they certainly have deeper pockets. Then your monopoly on exclusive content falls apart, you Balkanize the landscape and you hurt everybody in the ecosystem.”

White people are way too up in arms about this imo. lol These so called critics probably said the same fucking shit about Puff when he created Ciroc. It's like they like to keep you in your place.

There is a difference between trends that make sense and gimmick trends. Cirocs cultural push (which was successful unlike tidal will be) was a gimmick. Why would a grown man pay for top shelf fruity vodka? It made no sense but niggas started doing it. Same thing with tidal. Why would a beyonce fan of pay for lossless drunk in love? Lossless hq files are for soulful jamband and rock songs for ppl who like detail. Its not about putting a black man in they place tidal is just a gimmick. A basic bitch one at best.

I copped that PRHYME album by DJ Premier and Royce Da 5'9 off Amazon over a week ago..

Normally, most albums you buy off Amazon are 'Autorip'.. which means even with the hard copy, the MP3 files can be downloaded through an Amazon music app to your hard drive

However this album didn't have that feature so I ripped it to my system in 'lossless' format (due to the hype), listened to it on my earphones and..

Like someone here said there's hardly any difference between lossless sound and your 320 KBPS MP3 file sound or even FLAC files.

I'll have to say. Pretty good gimmick Tidal are running with

What brand of earphones do you have?

Not all encodings are the same. Bet that a lossless encoding coming from a studio will be miles ahead of whatever random misconfigured program that you're using.
