what really fucks my head up about these jigga warriors defending tidal is that the will be the same motherfuckers in the GNS beating they chest about web privacy, credit fraud, homeland/cia/psyops tinfoil shit. I guess when Pico not around yall turn back fag for Hov. Go ahead and give tidal access to your credit card, personal information and browsing behaviors. Jay Z aint spoke one line about security of Tidal. The service is already shaky at best who is to say Tidal cant be hacked and put offline

You really gotta be a sucker to pay money for this. Lmao @ Jigga Warriors.

So I'm guessing you feel the same way about all streaming services right?? Doubt it...

I do feel the same way about all other streaming services. I have a library of around 40,000 songs that I can listen to any time regardless of my access to Internet or content politics. Try again funny boy.

I do too and STILL have a streaming service subscription..... Go figure you can have both *shrugs*

First of all, no you don't.

Secondly, What's the point of paying money for something you can have free??? The few artists who do make quality enough music to support I purchase physical copies of their albums and it adds up to less than $10 a month or $20 a month. This is a money grab.

The only streaming service I use to discover new music is Pandora and that's free.

Also all the reviews I'm hearing about Tidal is that it has a shitty interface with mad flaws. PASS

Do you know how much shit people waste their disposable income on. Why do you think Netflix is successful when you can get movies for free. Like i said you don't have to reinvent the wheel, just create a better wheel. People are paying 5 dollars for a bottle of Fiji water when water is free or you can get a cheaper bottle of Nestle water.

Netflix/HBO Go/Amazon Inst. Video are popular because watching old shows and or upcoming series are in demand right now. Niggas will kill a nigga for the latest episode of empire. Whiteboys will declare holy gihad on someone trying to stop them from watching game of thrones seasons on demand. I fucks with cole and kendrick but i wasn't going to kill a nigga for their new albums nor was anyone i know.

New music isn't as eagerly anticipated because most new music sucks. Niggas make better mixtapes than albums. I will pay for netflix and do but i ain't paying to stream music.

The other thing is how much time a day are you not by a computer and or Car where you can store massive amounts of music for free. The reason i don't pay for streaming music is the majority of my day i can access free music on spotify youtube or grooveshark why pay for tidal or even spotify when i can listen or even stream for free.

with streaming records being broken multiple times in the last year (taylor swift, j.cole, kendrick lamar etc.) you can't say today's music isn't eagerly anticipated. not as much as movies or television shows but they're still people out there willing to support the music they love

"Niggas make better mixtapes than albums"

maybe you should listen to better artists

Idgaf about tidal but i am trying the free trial becuz......its free..i download alot of shit so its nothing for me to run out of gigs..streaming helps wit that.. I just find it funny that jiggas company is the only one getting criticized,.lol.. Thats the amazing part... All these other streaming services but his is the one niggas shitting on when they pretty much all do the same thing.. Thats hate

Records are being broke for the top 1% of any genre. Taylor swift cole and kendrick are breaking streaming records; is wale and (insert mid tier pop artist here)? Sheeeitttt the average artist nowadays can't even get people to stream their new album for free on spotify heavily outside again a few top outliers on top of their genre. I have found better artists and the majority of them are classic hip hop and rock and classic R&B. I could stream allot of it for free but most of it i get from older family members and friends who have that music purchased.

Again these video streaming services are capturing our free time 10 times more than streaming music is. The main draw with music nowadays are concerts. That what people will fight tooth and claw for a concert ticket not actually streaming an album and paying 9.99 or 19.99. Watch how much less traffic pandora and spotify would get if it didn't have a free commercial version.

same goes for these television shows. not all are as popular as empire, game of thrones, walking dead etc.

but the music/shows that are breaking records arent the only ones being checked for

LOL @ discovering new music with streaming.. really?

Metaphorically speaking, how deep are your 'crate digging' skills as regards HipHop music?

Never signed up or used a music streaming interface ever but I'm hip to the latest music of rappers I'm a fan of either through this website or getting updates with independent labels online I've signed up with ..

And I'd rather buy a record I like than stream it

lol reach, everything can be hacked fam. Wasn't long ago PSN was hacked and we were all told to change our login details and some even had money stolen from their debi/credit cards...

Stop letting this shit fuck up your head...it aint that serious.

Like it or not people, something had to be done to combat illegal downloads. This may not be perfect and right now a lil expensive for some. But the overall premise and intension is, simply put, moving with the times. Access to cloud based music will/is the norm. And more streaming companies will arise and fall.

The problem you all have is the exclusive content, face it, we don't like the fact that some shit gonna be exclusive to Tidal. But as i posted earlier, Apple are doing the same thing and I expect Spotify and others to follow suit.

I never in my life had trouble discovering new music. First thing you do if you're trying to get into new genres is talk to people with knowledge of it. Maybe go somewhere who plays it. You can even use another free app called Shazam. Do your research on the Internet. Youtube is free. Anything but pay $240 for a subpar streaming service. It's just foolishness. If the artists wanna get their chips up, make music that's gonna inspire me to go out and purchase your album. Fuck all the dumb shit.

word to grooveshark/youtube. Both are free for online desktop/laptop use and i have heard all types of music for free on that. Not to mention Grooveshark has a better array of live shows/rare recordings than streaming services. Amateur tapers and recorders have entire concerts from artists not even released for sale. Not sure why cats thing they have to pay for any streaming service to discover new music.

Lol this shit will never end.

I don't pay for a streaming service I still buy my music CDs or vinyls but I understand why people do I just don't get the uproar over this.

Yea that's why I just gave up on it.... This is all about jay for ppl becuz had this service been introduced with some no name ppl in suits this shit would have came without a peep but throw jay bey ye nicki rih etc names to it and ppl ready to tear all of music streaming down with the release of one service... This is more about how ppl feel about the artist then it is how they feel about the service so if you don't like jay common sense says you not gonna like this so its pointless

The thing is, there is no uproar. I finally figured it out by payin attention to reactions and who's actually sayin what

The uproar is really just 2 nggas: eyeronic and getoboy, and ta few others via reactions. Creating a vacuum of Tidal worship where no matter what contrary information is presented, they WILL NOT budge.

Most people are sticking to the pertinent topics: music quality, functionality, stream vs purchase, the marketing of Tidal, etc.

But these nggas talkin bout we dont want Jay z to shine. Man, what lls We keepin the black man down, etc. Ol boy argues lossless is clearly better---but doesnt buy Tidal b/c he likes lossy Beats music better. Its silly. Its childish. Shyt would have never got this far w/ out them 2 nggas bein on some company man shyt for whatever reason.

No, it's the reason you caping for it. If there was a 17 page thread about Spotify I would say how stupid it is too.

and there we have it.

thats like 90% of the argument. niggas dont like who is behind it and how they introduced it.

its not who is behind it (i am a huge cole and jay fan) its how they introduced it and how they hyped it up before launch to be something bigger than the average streaming service. The way they said there was a "special announcemenet" the way artists changed their photos to some bright teal color. The way the press conference pretended to be something that was more than just another steaming service.

When spotify dropped it was pretty much "hey if you want to stream music we got you on multiple price points. Same with other music streaming services. Tidal used hype and speculation then was like "hey the only difference is we have FLAC quality music and us artists get paid more fuck you guys peace out!"

The bolded I think is what I was wondering, I never saw Spotify or the other 50 music streaming services trashed online but soon as tidal launches it is.

When the only real differences between the 2 are one offers HiFi audio and the other offers a free version with ads. They both have $9.99 plans. Just makes you think it must be the artist involved are the reason why not just jay z.

Oh my bad I forgot how debates work....how silly of me to think me stating my point then you stating your point then me coming back with mine would be seen as a natural form of debating a topic I forgot where I was this is IC where if you debate for anything you're dick riding it and caping for it.....the only thing your allowed to do around here is hate shit smh....niggas are company men now becuz they like to stream music??? Nigga listen to how stupid you sound with that lol... Guess we should have just agreed with your views and left it alone huh??? Smh

i just peeped j coles facebook page advertising the streaming contest with tidal. Most of the top liked comments are about people who don't wanna support tidal but bought the actual album. Its not just Jay Z haters that wont support tidal allot of people are fans of a cole or hov. Even after the announcement fans of jay z were on his page commenting about how they don't want to use it and didn't like the way it was hyped.
