georgia boi;3142233 said:Making threads about it only lends credibility to such outlets. Would this even have been an issue if Complex or Urb had made the same or similar statements? If Rollingstone, MTV, and Vibe's opinions on Hip Hop are irrelevant, why make this an issue? It's not like everybody's going to agree with it anyway. Everyone has their own idea and criteria for who the King of Hip Hop is. These are the same outlets that claim The Beatles are GOAT, but to me Stevie Wonder holds that title despite what a media outlet says. It falls squarely on the individual to determine things like this.
Even more so, no outlet ever claimed Eminem to be the GOAT. Nobody's rewriting history. It was more so a "now" thing than an "all time" list.

waterproof;3142463 said:Im givig the truth the pub, this is a hip-hop fourm and it's time for the hip-hop community speak what's on their mind. You expect that shit to go on with out a opinion. Man hip-hop aint nevered been censored, it's about having a voice and call the fake and bullshit out, that's hip-hop
D-Jack;3142490 said:You're a fuckin coon, that's what you are. We don't consider you "black".
hlf;3142370 said:This nigga pulled up an Irv Gotti video. lol
JayToTheZ;3142509 said:So black people are not allowed to like a certain rapper who is a different race without being called a "Coon"?
smh......
hlf;3142492 said:The Hip Hop community you speak of is wearing tight jeans and ridin on skateboards pimp. The die hards are 25+ and have better things to worry about then a publication saying that a skilled emcee is the "King" based off of social networks. Who gives a fuck, all we can do is support the good shit which seems to be another huge problem our community has.
D-Jack;3142545 said:Em sucks, now. No, this is black music, bruh.
JayToTheZ;3142624 said:My is you can't name a certain type of music by a skin colour just because the most popular skin colour in that music genre is black, you don't see white people calling "rock" or "metal" white music. And when we see black people listen to Rock or Metal we don't mind at all....

Black folks created techno, rock, jazz, hip hop, soul, disco, and blues.
