Wayne is WAAAAAAAYYYY better than Nelly. Nelly doesn't sell anymore cuz out of all the music he's done over his career, he only has a handful of classic tracks. Contrary to what u believe its way more than 13-20 year olds that like wayne's music. Right now as we speak wayne can shut down any stadium in America.....Can Nelly do that????

Between plat and gold......yes thats not too far fetched.

wayne has already over saturated himself.there is no way people will support this nigga and constantly be checkin for a new mixtape or album for the next 10 years plus i doubt wayne will wanna rap that long.Even jay-z took a break. You can only rap about pussy, bustin guns, and being rich for so long before people get tired of you.

lol The idea of wayne releasing songs every other week, guest appearing on everything and releasing albums every year for the next 10 years and still going platinum is hilarious

I dont see wayne being like jay-z or eminem like most of you are saying. Yeah, both Em and Jay have fallen from where they were during their peak, but they're still kinda decent. Wayne how he is now is hit or miss, 1 good song for every bad 1. John grew on me, and 6'7' was good, but this new single is shit and his verse on "Im on one" which apparently was supposed to be on C4, was shit. "I walk around the club, fuck everybody" cmon man.

Also, wayne puts out too much, and not high enough quality. I know people are gonna argue "well curren$y does it" but his stuff has quality, compared to lil "i can do 20 songs in a couple hours" wayne. how many features do you see em and jay doing? very few. how many mixtapes do you see them dropping? very few, if any. how many of their fans expect a new song every week? none.

Hustler Muzik is when he was good. Hustler Muzik is when he couldn't go double plat in a great sales climate.

You're naming album cuts and street singles. At this point, it's basically anything "WAYNE" is gonna sell. I hope you don't think C3 went platinum in one week because black people all of a sudden found out who Wayne was in 2008. The same people who bought Tha Block Is Hot bought Rebirth???

The hood dudes who used to listen to Wayne moved on to Ross, Gucci, etc..
The every day dude who used to listen to Wayne moved on to J. Cole, Drake, etc..

Sure, he probably has some of his old fans. But I'm talking about his core fan base right now.

Wrong. Hip Hop fans are mad fickle. Mainstream will buy your album off your name alone. Wayne has reached this status right here

I gotta c/s this post cuz I was surprised The Carter 3 sold over 3 million copies, niggas bought that album with no hesitation.

Stop talking numbers, I'm talking music. Carter 3 was pathetic minus 3/4 songs and IANAHB was trash. If Carter 4 is wack were does he go from here musically?

Thats ur opinion. There are a lot of people that thinks Carter 3 was some of his best work.......I thought it banged too. INAHB was a throwaway album to keep him relavant.

Wayne needs to take notes from Kanye West. What Kanye does is how you set yourself up for longevity and maintaining artistic integrity.

Ok.. maybe not ALL. BUT... most people that would listen to that type of shit are FICKLE and only a few will stick around for the long haul.

People who don't care about quality to begin with will leave you for the next hot thing.

People who do care about quality will leave you because your shit sucks. Then you're assed out.

That IS what he is doin. Niggas slaughtered 808 on here when Kanye put that out same way they doin rebirth now. Wayne is branching out musically and it was apparent on Carter 3.

I agree. Wayne really set the streets on fire starting with Dedication 2, LilWeezyana, and the colossal Drought 3. I remember the events vividly.. it wasn't that long ago. Wayne's hype in the urban community was at an all time high in 2007. Then C3 kept leaking.. You know white people/suburbs always get onto what the hood is on late, they started to catch on. Da Drought Is Over 2 aka C3 leaked. Lollipop dropped. And he pretty much had everyone.

But a lot of the people who were checkin for C3 are already on to the next hot shit b. Carter IV won't be as successful as C3 and Wayne even knows it.

He still has a couple years before he completely falls off.. but like I said, he has decisions.

Mainstream moves on from people like Waka Flocka or Plies. Albums will still sell in Mainstream cuz his name is on it. Wayne is still riding high right now. The only people that are not checkin for wayne is the IC lol.

It's a train-wreck though doggy. I'm all for expanding horizons and shit but Wayne isn't actually making good music. I listen to all genres. I'm not a hip hop "elitist" or "purist". The shit just isn't quality dun. Carter 3 or Rebirth aren't timeless music. We don't necessarily want him to keep remaking "his old albums" (like Jay-Z would say).. we encourage creativity as long as it's good and has direction. Take your time. Make some good music.
