Yo as a kid I loved this show, i watched it religiously and would be glued to the screen when it came out.

A little while ago I went back and watched all the episodes of dbz from beginning to end and it made me cringe. Worst character development of all time.

It was rumored that the original direction of the show is that when Goku died the second time IT Cell to King Kai planet that he was supposed to stay dead and Goku was supposed to take the lead role.

Fans apparently didnt like that idea so Goku was put back in and Gohan went from taking lead role to being a bitch nigga after Mystic level.

GOhan was never supposed to be a bitch nigga he was supposed to be a character that had the inherent qualities of Goku but the trainign by Piccolo effectively making him how Goku was in Dragonball who was mercin niggas from the Red Ribbon army left and right.

It's kinda interesting speculating the direction the show wouldve taken if Goku had not been brought back and Gohan been allowed to evolve as a character
