Cell was the GOAT they showed an android who started out as a larvae in a tank and how he evolved into a "perfect" being and knew how to do everybody's moves because he had cells from all the Z-fighters and even frieza. Kamehameha,Instant transmissiondestructo disc,special beam cannon,death beam,regeneration,solar flare,tri-beam cannon and other shit was all at his disposal.
Dude went from sucking up people's life force until they were just skin in cities to hunting down the androids that the Z fighters could not handle and then to bbeing so strong only 1 person could be stong enough to kill him and he even held a tournament shown across the world just to display his power.
During the cell saga we seen gohan go super saiyan 1 and 2, vegeta and trunks go to a higer level than of a super saiyan, goku die,piccolo fuse with kami, krillin falling in love with a fucking robot, and gohan being the absolute strongest fighter in the entire show even though it was short lived. And the cell saga ended the show before it started to fall off.

The Cell could have been the greatest thing in Anime history but they ruined...Anything after the Cell Saga was trash...
Dragon Ball was one of the most influential shounen around but it's been surpassed by Yu Yu and One Piece.
One more point. I never understood the love/hate relationship with Son Gohan.
It's ridiculous, he's been the same since he was 4. Like what makes him more badass during the Cell Arc?
He dispatched the Cell Jrs, bodied Cell in 2 blows, and etc?
He' still one of the worst fighters in the series. He's fighting sense is terrible.
So, this he was wack when he was an Adolescent nonsense, needs to stop.
