He at least went toe to toe with him, even in his final form he tried till frieza broke his will
Against Broly he became 100 percent vaginal and didnt try until piccolo told him to man the fuck up
And even then he just took one clothesline from Broly and then passed out

I wanted to be like goku and trunks so bad as kid. I TRIED spiking my hair one day and was laughed at at school. Not true remember when vegta thought he was a super sayian and freeze didn't even get hit once. That nigga was shook during the whole freeza fight when he found out freeza was still stronger freeza broke that niggas pride. Hell theres plenty of times vegeta got shook when he realized he was to weak to win. Android 18 had him in his feelings and cells perfect form to, hell every time he found out some one was stronger than him he got his feelings hurt. It was jst pride before the fall vegeta stayed tlkin smack to weaker niggas or wouldn't spare folks weaker than him then got etheres by stronger niggas and lost his comfidence

Roshi and Bulma were the comic relievers in Dragon Ball with little to no effort with the perverted jokes and subliminals
Bulma and Goku has great chemistry is Dragon Ball, what each character lacked the other had. Watching that stuff actually makes you appreciate Bulma as in many ways she's an antiheroine.
Bulma is a manipulator, shes loud-mouthed, selfish, boy-crazy (with a history of getting interested in the villains like Yamcha, General Blue, Zarbon and Vegeta) but in her own way she is brave, adventurous, and very intelligent. She became mostly comic relief after the first arc of Dragon Ball and then her level of importance rose and fell when necessary.
I do like that after all the time of her not really being important her role in the series skyrocketed during the Android Saga, with Trunks on the scene and with her advanced knowledge of mechanics Bulma was an important character again. She had built the time machine for Trunks, the remote to disable the androids, and refurbished Android 16 so he could help fight Cell.
She lived a really long time too, her, Gohan and Chichi never died in the series until Buu killed the world near the end.
