Lmao niggas keep saying Goku could beat Cell. He says himself he cannot beat Cell.

I didn't say that though. I said he at least thought he could pull even otherwise, he would've continued to train. I mean, he thought the battle was over after he landed that instant transmission kamemeha wave. Goku didn't step into the Cell games thinking he had no chance of winning at all iirc

Yes he did, when he came out the time chamber that cat who make the beans told Goku Cell was still stronger. Goku admitted to Picolo after his fight with Cell that he knew he couldn't beat Cell but only fought so Gohan could see all of Cell moves and techniques

Yes, the cat told Goku this, but Goku himself didn't go into the Cell Games saying he couln't win. Picolo speculated that Goku fought first so Gohan could see his moves..Goku just laughed and continued to watch the fight. He didn't say yeah you're right

Wasn't broly suppose to be the legendary super sayian the one who was born strong af at birth with uncontrollable power. How tf is it even possible that he got defeated by goku period. I mean the way they paint him in history as the legendary super sayian he was stronger than frieza even as a baby so how is goku even coming close to dude? Smh I swear this writers be tripping I hate when they paint a character as completely unstoppable then us some b.s excuse as to why he got defeated. Like with super android 17 that nigga was dead ass strong enough to whoop kid gokus ass and u telling me android 17's enter self showed his weakness to help goku defeat him smh come on bru

Movies not canon so the legendary super Saiyan is Goku.

Nah, there was a Saiyan that went SS before Goku bc Vegeta and the Saiyan race knew what SS was, they just didn't kno what it looked like bc the 1st Saiyan that went SS killed majority of the witnesses and himself then as time went on it turned into a myth...

My point tho is Goku nor Broly is "The Legendary Super Saiyan", Tori made a episode where he tried to make Bardock TLSS but i don't think that was canon...

was this in the comics or a movie? I don't remember them saying that the 1st SS killed himself and the witnesses.

Here is the article, it metions that his power destroyed him and the planet he was on, also hints that he was a Great Ape Super Saiyan that's why he couldn't control the power...

His plans for SSJ actually make sense.

yep, that's basically what was going on in GT. He fought in his base form mostly. If there was a SSJ2 level, he didn't really use it. I thought that was a good idea and a natural progression of his power.

Yeah, and taking it further, SSJ4 wasn't anything like the other SSJ4 forms. It actually looked more like a hybrid form between their human and oozaru sides. As a matter of fact, you could go as far as saying that the SSJ form could be the true SSJ form and what we believe is the SSJ is an incomplete form that resulted from them not having their tails.

What does the "J" stand for in SSJ

Originally the Saiyan race was known as the "Saiyajin" race in Japan. For whatever reason it just became the Saiyan race here but the SSJ stuck.

I like the new look for Goku & Vegeta, not so much Gohan tho SMMFH LOLOLOLOL. Gohan looks like Akira Toriyama now LOLOLOLOL.

Peep the resemblance:

Something to note about Akira Toriyama, he was vicariously living thru Gohan early on in his career. If you look at the new pics of Gohan today he almost resembles AT. Another thing, Goku and Gohan's relationship is the relationship AT wanted with his own father. He wanted to end DBZ with Gohan surpassing his father and being the star. He said in an interview that his own father was a lot like Vegeta, who didn't want him to become a bum writing cartoons/manga like many of his time were. You gotta remember it was the 70s and manga was nothing like it was today. He wanted his son to excel at sports and school to become a scholar - something he wasn't good at nor had a passion for (just like Gohan LOLOL). His life was writing. Future Trunks & Vegeta were more like how AT and his dad were.

Personally I think the reason why he made it so hard for Vegeta was b/c of some resentment towards his old man. To let Vegeta win in some ways meant to give his own father a boost. It's interesting, b/c for AT, proving his dad wrong was his motivation. Dragonball didn't take off the way he wanted and was a commercial failure but creative success. We almost didn't even get a DBZ b/c it didn't take off the way he wanted. He was going to originally stop DBZ at the Frieza saga until he got a radical idea to take things to the next level. Dragonball Z was his magnum opus and I'm glad he never stopped and kept writing. AT helped morph a lot of childhoods with memories and great storytelling.

And yet, Vegeta still ended up being a better father than Goku. At least he was there providing for his kids while Goku ass is dead somewhere training for a fight that may or may not happen.

^^^^^^

fuckin hilarious!!

Respect!

Its ironic how the logo on his hat is the same logo as the Huston Astros.
