McGregor: Mayweather's Strip Club Looks Like a Crack Den!
UFC superstar Conor McGregor is not exactly a fan of Floyd Mayweather's new strip club, which the former pound-for-pound king opened up in Las Vegas.
Mayweather has been plugging the strip club for most of the promotion for the upcoming boxing match with McGregor.
Mayweather and McGregor will collide on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena, in the main event of a Showtime Pay-Per-View card.
McGregor (21-3 MMA, 9-1 UFC) believes Mayweather (49-0, 26 KOs) has made a very poor financial decision by opening up a strip club. He feels the boxer's investment is a losing venture.
“That strip club is bleeding money from him, and he knows it, and he’s talking about franchising it,” McGregor said to USA Today. “The thing looks like a crack den, and that’s no disrespect to the people that are in there. It’s a horrendous decision.”
Mayweather opened up Girl Collection, a 6,000 square-foot topless club, back in May. The boxer is so confident of gaining a victory over McGregor, that he's spending every single night of the week hanging out at the club.
“I don’t care about that,” McGregor said. “Whatever. He’s so cool, isn’t he? At the strip club a couple days before the fight. Like, who gives a bollocks, mate. I’d say the place stinks. That’s being straight. Looking at it on ‘All Access,’ I’d say the place stinks.”
McGregor is a tremendous underdog, due to his lack of pro boxing experience. The contest with Mayweather will be his professional debut in a boxing ring. The contest takes place at the junior middleweight limit of 154-pounds, with 8-ounce gloves being used.
Mayweather, 40 years old, is coming back to the ring after spending the last two years in retirement. He walked away from boxing back in September 2015 after dominating Andre Berto. He promises to retire for good, win or lose, against McGregor this weekend.
