the first legitimate third base option the white sox have had since joe crede

his second half 'slump' worries me though because his overall slash numbers were right in line with his career totals

2015: .255 BA, .309 obp, .498 slg

career: .257 BA, .321 obp, .463 slg

so this second half 'slump' could be a regression

i still feel like this is a good trade for the white sox, especially after hearing the initial anderson, rodon, fulmer for frazier rumors floating around

i think when the reds are still terrible in 3-5 years they will recall 2015 as the year they could have gotten better and fucked it up

as for the players the white sox are giving up to the dodgers

micah johnson

trayce thompson (hes klay brother)

frankie montas

micah johnson is starting to become an old prospect and i think probably has to move to center -- at 25 years of age -- not sure how much value is/was there but he is a career .300 minor league hitter and he did steal 80 somethiong bases in the minors several years back but he did look over matched during his time here

trayce thompson, i really liked what i saw from him, he was tagged as the best defensive OF in the white sox system so it was surprising to see him hit .295 when he was called up -- he looked good doing it too he had the best approach at the plate and that includes jose abreau -- he could be one of those late bloomers due to being a HS pick and for someone who was said to not have been all in on baseball in hs but the fact remains he was just a .240 hitter in 7 minor league seasons combined -- at the very least makes for a nice 4th OF

montas is destined for the bullpen due to having only two pitches (fastball and slider) -- he makes for a dominant 8th/9th inning guy -- he can get it up to 100 but the white sox were working on teaching him to let up some because it would come out flat when he reached back -- that kyle farnsworth shit

might look back and see an over pay if montas can pick up a 3rd pitch, harness his control and stick as a starter, trayce continues to improve and if micah stays healthy and improves his defense or reaches his offensive ceiling

i was hearing on the radio how the dodgers were going to trade for frazier for themselves and have turner move to 2nd but they decided against it and ended up getting the white sox involved

l.a might be up to something

The Reds traded brandon phillips to the nationals but he hasn't waived his no trade clause. He has a no trade cuz of 10 years in the league and 5 with the same team

iwakuma back to the mariners (after the dodgers backed out following his physical)

1 year guaranteed with vesting options for 2nd and 3rd years

confirmed

Peter Gammons said the braves asked for soler and contreras for shelby miller

man i would trade baez or soler before i trade contreras let alone him being the sweetner for a deal, i been reading too many good things -- i would make him untouchable

its best to just to wait these teams out

especially fernandez since everybody know miami not gonna pay him

Brandon phillips tried to strong arm the nationals into extending his contract in order to waive his no trade clause he has 2 years 27 mil left on his current contract and will be 35 next season.Instead of an opportunity to play on a contender he tryna get more dough.Duke always been a clown

yeah yall got the cubs to look forward to and to take the sting out of the bulls having to start rebuilding after getting bounced in the first round by the charlotte hornets

i came across an article about a tommy lasorda rant

which led me to another lasorda rant regarding kurt bevaqua thats on youtube that i never heard

lmao

Dodgers supposedly signed outfielder Yusniel Diaz. He is ranked No. 3 on MLB.com's Top 30 International Prospects list.

lazarito

the new wonder out of cuba hes '16'

hes gonna have a showcase on january 8 where scouts for every team are expected to attend -- by the end of next month, teams will know if they can sign him in january or the next signing period which is in july -- it will be interesting to see when the league decides he is eligible because if they dont make him eligible in january and teams have to wait until july then several big spender teams wouldnt be able to sign him

cubs, dodgers, giants and royals since they exceeded their limits this year and will have to wait two years to spend over 300k and the angels, dbacks, rays, red sox and yankees wouldnt be able to sign him either since they went passed their bonus pool money last year

if they make him eligible in january then i believe every team will be able to sign him

its all very confusing all i know after reading nightengale shit is that the kid seems pretty determined and that bodes well for his success and according to the picture that accompanied the article, he is a physical specimen

i hope theres nothing to these alex gordon rumors

he will be 32

his great defense will only diminish from here on out and i think he would also cost a comp pick

if the white sox are going to throw 100 mil at someone at least let it be upton who is 28

but id rather it be neither of them
