The Midwest has nothing against the south either. Same for the West, but as a dude from the Great Lakes I respect the fact that they really do put people on and are not the full blown haters that they are portrayed as. Im not from N.Y. but as a student of HipHop I can say that the most influential pioneering emcees and rappers are from NY and that the worst rappers that I have heard from a lyrical standpoint were from the South.

Rating a rapper skill-wise is different depending on the criteria that you base your ratings on...I would give Dro the edge over Rell based on Dro's multi's, wordplay, descriptiveness, humor, flo, ad-libs, delivery, energy, personality, vocabulary, and beat selection. Rell seems to be a one-trick-pony with his hardcore-murder-shtick.

We have the perfect moguls in the game for this time because they know how to build contacts with every region while standing firm for pops (Watch the throne, Slaughterhouse.) By doing so we maintain a strong relationship with Hip Hop's King of New York (Jay Z) & Lyrical Rap (Budden, Ortiz, Eye.)
