Bullshit again. They were branded as elements of Hip Hop by the North East. Now you tryna jack the shit and add it on to what you want to do now, ol' grimey ass nigga. Why are you doing this?

SMH

Defacing private and public property existed before Hip Hop.

Rhyming words to a rhythm existed before Hip Hop.

Dancing existed before Hip Hop.

Mixing and scratching records is the only thing that began in New York, and it was by a Jamaican. Stop making shit up.

I ain't making shit up but what are you trying to do? Hip Hop Culture originated in NYC and the Northeast. THEY ARE POPS. Nobody tried to take the origin of Jazz from New Orleans.

The South argues and complains to pops but that's all it is y'all. That's all it is. Pops is judgmental by nature.

I hope you realize that you're the only person bowing down to New Yorkers like they're 'Gods'. Only difference between the East and anyone else is that they've done it the longest.

I will stay doing that because the 5 elements never dominated anywhere else. As a Chicago dude what you say is VERY IMPORTANT; YOU REP THE 2ND CITY, BUT NOT IN HIP HOP.

i dont think the bold are wack unless y'all hold some kind of different standard to ny rappers. i dont see what makes someone like young dro better than hell rell.

Young Dro is superb with his.

I have had the luxury to build with people from every region and NY & the Midwest seem to have more consciousness than the South & the West.

I dont like using words like "dumb" unless its abslolutley necessary but I think alot of people are lacking knowledge of self which is understandable if you never had conscious movements in your area.....some people just want to eat and integrate...others want to eat and elevate.

Some of y'all have got this thread more twisted than a pretzel. Stop tryin to make analogies and comparisons about situations that have nothing in common what so ever. And to read this thread you'd think that down South we sit around when were kickin it and say shit like "man, these NY cats keep hatin on the South. We can't be havin that, we're gonna have to ....". Na, it ain't that deep. No offense, but down here we obviously have bigger problems to worry about than what folks in other cities and/or states, think about us. The reality is no one's dwellin on that shit enough to even bring it up in conversation. And I'm sure they feel the same about what the South thinks about them in NY, the West Coast, Midwest, Britain, Ireland, New Zealand, Zimbabwae, where ever.

*fires one up while listening to The Geto Boys - The World Is a Ghetto "From Amsterdam to Amarillo, the world is a ghetto" *

I'm only talkin' to you soul rattler, you know what it is. Regardless of your c/s,' Hip Hop Culture is rooted in the Northeast and NYC. KANYE WEST IS WITH WHO? Jay Z. And that's your rep. My rep's (Eminem) backing goes back to Brooklyn too (Iovine.) There is no escape. Even if you practice the culture, you're giving reference to the Bronx born culture....Pops

you said dro makes better music which is subjective to the listener. i can say rell makes better music but what would that prove?

and i took nothing away from dro, but my point is how most southern fans are quick to dismiss most average ny rappers as wack (fat joe, hell rell, french montana) yet they get uptight if you put rell in the same sentence with dro like dro is that much better.

Stop. Just stop. Kanye West was born in Atlanta and moved to Chicago. You're trying to make some huge production when it's not that fantastical.
