I'm actually a big fan of this character. Probably the only poster here who has a Supergirl comic book collection and one spanning across different volumes at that; but after seeing this trailer it really didn't do anything for me. I'll probably check it out if I have time but i'm not anticipating it in anyway either.

I am starting to get tied of all these heroes having some type of assistant/sidekick that knows their identity. DC is doing it the most.It's like how many times are they going to use the same formula?

secret identities, like true secret identities, are a thing of the past apparently. DC probably thinks that the audience is too smart for them now. Maybe theyre right.

Look at the avengers. Do ANY of them have a secret identity really? Lois Lane figured out who Superman was in like 45 minutes in MoS.

I don't know if you still read comic books. I remember you got into them through this forum and even changed your screen name to your current one during Infinite Crisis but that was like a decade ago and it seems from your posts like you really don't read comic books anymore. But it's funny you bring up secret identities in he DCU. This is from the prologue to the next big Superman arc that starts next month.

It would have impressed me if she was ('conventionally') unattractive but they'd never do that. I don't see why a super heroine should have to be pretty.

I like the not too serious tone

I don't think she's ugly. At the same time I also don't think that she looks the part. With that said neither does Grant Gustin and I think he's been an awesome Barry Allen.

End of the day characterization is way more important to me than the visual appearance. We will see how she fares in that regard soon enough

i did laugh outloud when i saw 'hunky black james' in the trailer though. it was so random and i half expected him to start singing jodeci songs.
