Why are people so surprised that the show ended predictably? It followed a template from beginning to end. The ending was never supposed to be a surprise.

Did you not read what you quoted at all? All that killing he did was done to wrap up the loose ends that were hanging because of all the lies and his reaction. ie. the mitigation. Past that, he wanted to go out his own way. He didn't want to go out the club way because he was basically leaving that life behind. That's why he said he was doing what he should have done when Tara was still alive.

You're talking about from the criminals. He already fixed most of those problems. I'm talking about the cops. Dude just went on a one man killing spree. The cops knew it was him and they were looking for him. If he just let the Sons kill him and dispose of him, then the cops would constantly been on them trying to figure out what happened with Jax. Going out the way he did, the cops know he's dead, know how he died, and know that he was acting alone in everything he did. The club is off the hook even though everything Jax did was for the benefit of the club.

Okay, so we all pretty much agree Jax had to go for all the things he had done.

But I just feel like it was a little too clean. He really didn't deserve to go out on his own terms, and he died quick and clean with some cheesy ass crows following him.

Ya'll cats are either being dense for no reason or are overthinking shit. The club voted for Jax to meet Mr. Mayhem. They documented it and let the other charters know. They purposely injured Happy to make it seem like Jax went rogue. Jax made a big show of what he was doing to make it clear to everyone that he was acting alone, and then he got killed. All that was done so that any remaining beefs and legal issues would die with him. Again, they said in the show that everybody wouldn't be happy with it, but shit should at least be smoothed over enough by Jax's actions that the club would be able to deal with it.
