Jesus...I'm glad you seemed to turn out pretty level-headed despite all that.

I was still a youngin', I was 18 w 2 kids and my gf living w me. I still was living at my house w my mom and her druggie BF, we were working on getting out of there and paying money to my mom to pay the bills. At the time I didn't know she was on drugs until the lights, water, gas would shut off and I'd be like didn't I pay that? She'd say she "forgot" to pay it. We'd have to ask for help from other family to help us pay it. Plus on top of that my son was getting heart surgeries.

I ended up checking the mail all the time and personally going down to pay the bills myself, the bill money I gave her went to drugs.

It was one helleva experience, something that made me more of who I am today.
