I havent followed the case so I cannot get into specifics.. You may have valid points.. But like u said as an observer.. I see the verdict and its obvious to me that they did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt.. If they did they would have got the conviction.. They aint even get the child abuse conviction.. So, in a sense, yes, a test is given at the start, but only to see where that person stands in relation to justice, and what is perceived as adequate punishment.
