good ass thread
jay elect - underground hero: now a days new underground heroes with songs as big as "exhibit C" are hard to find. Dudes spitting what jay elect is spitting is rare. He's cool with the curren$ys and the mos defs, he should be on some every 3 month mixtape shit leading to an album at the start of 2011. right when exhibit c hit number 1 on itunes, i'd have him and just blaze dropped a 15 song tape with exhibit c was the single. I'd promote it for a while, online where his audience thrives while the single keeps bumping on radio airplay. i'd let everyone freestyle off the beat, as it only adds to his creditablity and after about two months of noise, hit them with a collabo with diddy, incliuding a video showing his versatility. he'd have an album atleast 3-5 weeks after
J.Cole - The next Jay/nas: the nigga has the audience in place thanks to drake, he has the skills and he has a TEAM of all stars with jay, kanye, melanie fiona, beyonce, no i.d., wale, cudi, et.c he could be associated with. maybe he's too cool to do that? HELL NO...we're pushing you more than just tours...whenever jay has a video, your in it. when kanye needs a guest verse, your there. he'd be slowly promoted but atleast visible.
Wiz - Keep doing what he's doing: dude is already on the right track
Big Krit - "The realest nigga of the south": is he the realest? I don't know. Will he be contested by any artist feeling threatened? Of course. But if you have radio personalities adressing him of that name like how they call T.I. the king, it will catch on weather true or not. I'd hit a new mixtape thats atleast on par with "K.R.I.T. wuz here" and have him moving up towards shows with south legends like bun b, face, and anybody else he could tour with. I'd give him a better southern radio song then "country shit", and have that be for the radios. But his real music would be the hook. Like "children of the world", i'd have that on MTV jams and MTV 2, rather just youtube. He';d get probably the slowest progression since his career didn't really start blowing until this year
