Glenn Beck Calls SC Confrontation Video ‘Absolute Ticket to Anarchy’

Glenn Beck appeared with Megyn Kelly tonight on Fox News and said that the media reaction to the South Carolina classroom confrontation between an officer and a student is “an absolute ticket to anarchy, which is exactly what many in our country would like.”

He told Kelly that if he ever resisted like the student in the video did, his parents would have excoriated him and not bothered to listen to his excuses.

Beck said the officer was “put in an absolutely no-win situation” and said that the media reaction to this might get more students around the country to think they can punch cops and resist arrest “and the cop’s gonna get in trouble.”

He’s no racist, he’s dating a black woman.

That was the bizarre defense put forward Tuesday by the boss of the white South Carolina sheriff’s deputy whose videotaped body-slamming of a high school student shocked the world.

Deputy Ben Fields has been dating an African-American woman for “quite some time,” Richard County Sheriff Leon Lott said.

“Would that have a bearing on his thought process?” Lott mused. “It may have, but I would think that would have effected it in a positive way, not a negative way."

Lott also said they’ve gotten their hands on a third video of Monday’s mayhem which shows the 18-year-old senior “hitting the school resource officer with her fists.”
